Where is Fan #1 on a Samsung 67" DLP HDTV

There are 3 fans with this set. Two of them are at top [inner side] and one in the light engine [inside the light engine]. There is no such button to reset the fan only. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done

SAMSUNG TV

I don't have a schematic for this model. So try this.. .when you open the back of the set, you can readily see two fans, a smaller one on the left, and a slightly larger one on the right. Fan #3 should be behind the larger fan in the front and slightly to the right of it. I would first see if it is operating. You can try to clean it with compressed air ensuring you rotate the fan in its normal direction and don't overdo it. If you can hold the blades so that they are not rotated by the compressed air too fast or at all. You might have to slide the main assembly out to get at it and there should be videos on youtube that show yours or a similar model. Anything further I suggest a trained technician.

Can you replace the screen on Samsung 67a DLP

Elisha,I was not able to find anywhere selling a replacement screen. May I ask why you want one? Did it get damaged? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xUhOdzwLtw Did you have the unit looked at by a repair tech? What is the year of your unit and symptoms? The screen is just like a projector screen (DLP stands for digital light processing) It does not have pixels like a monitor or TV has and doesn't wear out or break unless it was physically damaged. If you could get one the cost of repair would likely exceed the value of the unit. If you have picture issues it typically is the lamp, color wheel, or dmd board or a defective capacitor. Have you registered your unit with Samsung with current contact info? You may be part of the class action suit that Samsung recently settled http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57376508-221/samsung-power-defect-causes-some-tvs-to-fail-and-a-class-action-suit-follows/ you can try the link to http://www.samsung.com/us/capacitorsettlement/ but it is not working for me.

Can you replace the screen on a Samsung DLP 67a

Yes. The hard part is finding one! the screen itself should not be very expensive as with a flat screen for it is only a reflected surface and as long as the glass on the back is intact, the plastic front can be replaced.

My 67" samsung tv work well when its on but when you turn off tv and turn back on you get sound and no picture unplug tv and plug in again picture come back on

First thing I would try is to remove set and a box or receiver if used from power for a while and then plug all back up--should reboot all units that way--cannot hurt and may very well help. Not just the set but any unit between signal source and set.It might also be a good idea to see if when the screen is black if the lamp can be seen--is it on or not?

Replaced the balast, tv not longer turns on and off but now it has a kind of pulsing picture. Am I looking at a new bulb? a new color wheel ? or some other surprise that I haven't heard about?

Lamp is possible especially if the ballast was bad--it powers the lamp.Color wheel will usually display some issues--high pitched whine or fan like noise---with the lamp removed look where it faces--color wheel is there--any broken or missing pieces and it is the problem---The wheel is directly connected to the set---set will detect if wheel not moving or moving too slow etc and almost instantly turn the lamp OFF.4_30_2012_5_06_35_pm.jpg
