1. Try using a new, clean, pencil eraser, to gently rub the contacts on your memory card making certain no to leave any rubber shavings on the card.
2. Un-install and re-install the card 10 -20 times (this will rub the inside contacts clean an re-align the card)
3. If that doesn't work and you absolutely have to have the photos on that Memory Card, you can purchase any one of many Memory Card Photo Recovery Programs, available by searching recover photos from memory card.  Here is One Example (no necessarily a recommendation as I have never used this or any photo recovery software)
4. Finally, from the camera's menu, Select <Format>, you will lose any pictures you may have on the card but you should be able to rectify the problem

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Sounds like you broke it. I doubt it can be economically repaired. Get a new one, and don't drop it.

Hi Beshoui, I believe your zoom lens is not extending when you power on. In most cases like this, there is likely a foreign body (sand) or similar objects lodged between the lens tubes or the camera has been subjected to a knock (dropped, bumped against a solid surface) that caused the lens tube to miss-align. All you need to do is: 1. as you switch on the camera, give a little knock/ tapping with your fingers around the lens. 2. if that fails, apply a little pressure to the sides of the lens ring while powering on your camera. Lets hope that will help to dislodge the foreign body or the lens tube miss-alignment.
