every printer has a tool installed on the computer called clean heads. or something like that. Run a cleaning cycle and do a head aligning, just to see if all nozzles are working. If the ink is genuine HP ink and it is the correct type for the printer, HP should replace it if it is defective. If it is an aftermarket ink cartridge that the HP printer won't acknowledge as valid, go to the sellers website and see if there is a procedure you can do to make the cartridges work.
