Mike does this happen with all prints? does it go away if you change the orientation of the paper. portrait to landscape? Happen when you copy ? Try different file type does that change?

1. Turn OFF the main power switch.
2. Turn main power switch ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Trouble Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and the it has been reset.
5. After turning off the main power switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine starts correctly

if the code comes back replace the fuser, continue to reset can cause fires.and that would ruin a perfectly good day

For P-7 replace the magenta image unit
for P-5 and P-28 unless you know your way around Konica Minolta Copiers you need to have the two sensor located below the transfer belt on the right side cleaned and or replaced, to clean them you must uncover them because when the belt assy. is remove the are covered.

have the printer control board firmware re-flashed by Tech because firmware is only available via secure Konica Minolta web site they keep their firmware secure,

Exposure lamp failure to turn on, raise the doc feeder hit the start button bright light come on under the big glass if not replace the exposure lamp and board if required.

In your case the soft switch will be 3-1-1 changing last bit to 0. if the code comes back do not reset as this code deals with the fuser it can catch on fire and that will ruin a perfectly good day.

This setting specifies the software DIP switch on the software SW setting screen. (*1)Caution 1: The bit of the DIP switch is written in
the non-volatile memory every time it is
changed.
Caution 2: The numbers shown in the message
area are defined as follows:
Software SW 8-bit switch values in indicated in hexadecimals from 00 to FF.

1st check the easy possible cause, stain /dirt on slit/original glass CLEAN. 2nd check drum for scratch causing line on copy and the transfer belt for damage.
