Drum and error light
The drum unit has exceeded its programmed life. You can either rplace teh drum unit with a new one or if the print quality is still ok and paper jams have not been a problem, you can re-set the drum counter and clear the error lights. To re-set the drum counter, open the front of the printer where you access the toner/drum then press and hold the Go button until all lights come on in turn then go off. Release the go button and close the front of the printer.
How do I fix repeated paper jams?
Had the same problem with a HL-2140N. My solution was, after unnecessarily taking the whole printer apart inspecting the paper path and assemble it again afterwards, to check if the manual feed would still work. As this worked without a problem, I fuzzily guessed that something had to be wrong before that point.
In my printer, only the separation pad, and the roller right next to it came into question (both mounted at the front of the paper tray). I cleaned the separation pad (ultra fine paper dust gathered over the years) with cleansing alcohol, and took apart the roller assembly next to it (same kind of dust).
Especially the latter was super dirty. I took the roller out to clean the cleansing pad below it with an old toothbrush (Meridol Soft), reassembled, de-greased the roller with some cleaning alcohol, put everything back in place, and my printer works again the way I would expect it too.

there is a pad that absorbs extra ink when it gets full you need to lift lid clean pad and go on line to down load reset code.
Brother Printer 2150N - toner light has come on & toner is OK
Bought a 2150 in 2007. In 2008 toner light came on. Bought a new toner cartridge and installed. Light would not go off. Called Brother. They had us do the following:
1) Turn power off
2) Open front cover
3) Press white button (left side) 2 times and hold
4) Turn power on
5) Press white button 6 times and hold. All 3 lights should come on.
6) Close cover
7) Press blue button 3 times. Should print demo page.
We took the new cartridge out and saved it. The original is still working fine.
We've replaced the toner on a Brother HL-2150n
Most Brother printers need manually reseting when either the drum or toner is replaced. Sometimes it doesn't need it and sometimes it does. Don't ask me why because I have no clue lol. What you do is open the Front Panel button that corresponds on the top with the blue botton. If you hold it from the inside of the printer until all the lights flash ontop of the pritner, then you let go and close the door. This should reset the printer. I hope this helps and I explained myself well lol

Silly question I know, is the toner new install if not could have run out.?
Would you by chance have a replacement to insert, to see if problem perstists?
Drum light flashing
We have just changed our drum unit but the drum light is still flashing. The printer is printing though. Any suggestions?
Blinking green light
Try disconnecting the computer from the printer and shutting it down by removing the power cord and then also shut down the computer for a minute or so and then reboot it and check in "Printers" and see if it has anything waiting to be printed and if so clear out the queue. Flashing green light indicates that the printer is receiving data from the computer and/or printing so you shut it all down and cold reboot to clear out the computer confusion in both the computer and the printer.
