i m having a problems in my printer that was not on but in the alarm light was glowing the was not working pl. give me a solution & solve my problems

The serial number for your printer can be found shown below in the picture:

This is usually caused by some obstruction in the paper path. I have found many things that have been accidently dropped into printers, pencils, paper clips, money, etc. It may be just a small piece of paper.
Sometimes you can be lucky by turning printer upside down and shaking, the obstruction may fall out. If you look down into the paper path with a torch you may even see the object. Otherwise you will have to dismantle the printer to get to it.

If the lights are blinking for the cartridges, then there is not enough ink.
Get new ones or refilled ones and try it again.

Or there may be enough ink, but the electronics on the carts are not working, could be a short, or an open circuit.

Power off printer
Hold down STOP/RESET button then Press and Hold down Power button
Keep Power button down and Release STOP/RESET button
Release power button
Push STOP/RESET button twice
Wait 20-30 seconds - our LED showed Idle
Push STOP/RESET button four times
Push Power button twice
Power off
Next time the printer is started the waste count will have been reset.

E5 means your cartridge error. May I know are you using original ink cartridge or yours has been modified before?
I assume you to refill your ink cartridge before because E5 error won't appear after replacing new cartridge.
So, you need to take out both of your ink cartridge and then use a clean cloth to wipe them. After that, slowly put in back into the printer. If the error is still there after wiping it, try to do it till the error is gone.
I had tested this way with my own printer and it works again without needed to buy a new ink cartridge.

Some have posted reset instructions here, but I wouldn't do that since the ink can overflow and make a mess. You should have the absorbers replaced by a repair shop and the reset done properly.

For Canon MP190 ONLY it worked that software but I used a software named Resetter Canon MP198. First put the printer in service mode. Press and hold the RESUME button (Is the red one ), then press and hold the POWER button, wich became green.
While still holding the POWER button, Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times. Ast the first press the green power button turns off and a orange led turns on. At the second press the orange led turns off and the power became green. Now the printer is in Service Mode. So with printer conected to PCstart the software and reset the ink absorber level. It worked for me.

When you said you tried to download it, what was the reason you could not do it. Did you get an error code? If so which one?

when a cartridge is not recognized by the printer, try to clean up the contacts to get rid of dust..you may use a tissue paper wet with alcohol..then re-install the cartridge,if the problem persist, you will have to replace the cartidge..

Have you tried emptying the the ink absorber?

There are 2 pads on the right side of the printer, under where the ink cartridges park. They each sit in a rubber housing. The pads can be taken out and cleaned. Sometimes just putting it under a warm running tap will do the trick. If there is ink in the rubber housing after taking the pads out, it can be cleaned up with a tissue. Put the pads back into their housings and you should be ok. Now you may have to reset the error message so you can get back to printing.

How to clear E27 Code

* With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding the Stop/ Reset button.
* When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
* When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
* When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in orange and green, starting with orange.)note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.

it means....Ink cartridge temperature rise error

Place the paper you wish to scan on top of scanner.

1. Go to window start manu.

2. Find picture board.

3. Click the file manu at picture board, and find the scanner.

4. Click the scanner and it will scan the paper as soon as you click ok...

5. After completion of scan, click "save as" and name the title wish to make.

That's all...

Canons generally have four screws that hold the entire printer mechanism on the plastic base. Some models do have a power supply module that slides out of the rear of the case, remove this first. Remove the four screws holding the printer mechanism onto the lower case. Some models may have more screws, but becareful not to remove any other screws! It just lifts off.

Take the waste ink pads out and lay them down on some newspapers by the sink. Set the waste ink pads in the sink. Pour some of the cleaning mixture into them to dissolve the ink, then gently run hot water through to rinse it out. It will never look clean, don't try, just get it so there is little ink left in the wash water. It is a rather fragile felt-like substance so if you try too hard, you can end up destroying it.

Squeeze out as much water as you can. Do -not- twist it like a towel!

Reinstall the ink pads and reassemble your printer.

Once you've got the pad cleaned and the printer back together, you'll need to reset the counter or it won't print.

1. remove cartridges
2. unplug AC power
3. hold power button and plug AC power (keep holding power button.
4. press resume 4 times

The printer works with original cartridge canon,not refill or compatible....this is the recomandation from Canon.Is possible to work the printer with refill catridge is possible not work,Canon recommend original cartridge.If a have been useful please give me a vote :).Thanks

Not all the ink that leaves the ink-cartridge reaches the paper.
Some of the ink goes into the "waste-absorber".

Take your printer to a qualified printer technician, for replacement of that component,
and resetting of the printer.
