i would not refill my own cartridge tank with 3rd party if i were you. stick to OEM print carts only . Canon is very pickey when it comes to using OEM cartridges. call Canon direct to get new OEM cartridges 1-866-226-6634

Error 306 is a communication error and should have nothing to do with the cartridge. Check to make sure the printer is plugged in and restart your computer, and try again.

i think encelopes are to thick.try to set it in the midel of the tray

printers dont normaly have serial numbers as there not expensive enough but if they do its normaly on the back or at least the bottom

If you use Vista or Win 7 easiest way to connect wireless is:Go to "Network" find your printer in network area and press right button on it.Than press install. Should work (i have different language of my windows)

Print head failure. All you can do is to remove the cartridges, flip up the securing lever and extract the print head assembly from the carrier then clean its contact and the pins on the carrier. If that doesn't fixes it then either the data ribbon cable that connects the carrier to the board or the processor are damaged. In both cases the repair will cost more than a new printer so it's time for a new one.

Check if the drivers for the printer are installed and working properly on the computer. All the devices which are connected to the computer require a set of drivers to be installed on the computer. If the appropriate drivers are not installed on the computer then the device will not work properly. To check if the drivers are installed and working on the computer, right click on My computer and select Device manager. Highlight the installed printer. If there are any caution signs then follow the troubleshooting procedure. If troubleshooting does not help then try and update the drivers for the printer and see if it works.

To solve this issue unplug the unit and take out the cartridges then clean the print head which is the area beneath the cartridges with a hot water towel, let it dry out for a while and see if it works again. If the issue returns then its time for a new one as replacing the print head will cost you around same as buying a new one. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The printer requires a full ink cartridge to function. Replace the black cartridge to fix the problem.

Here is your solution.
1. If your replace only one cartridge follow the step. = Press Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds............. after that your printer will start its process. 2. If your replace both cartridge follow the step: = Press Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds ............ after 5 seconds wait for few seconds. Your printer will show the same error, so press for 5 seconds again.... thanks
