But seriously try checking which programs are set to run at startup and hence in the background. You may find some that you can start manually when you require them instead of taking up system resources.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

If the battery is charging up to 73% it means one or two of the rechargeable cells is exhausted, the battery will need to be replaced.

first remove your battery and start up your machine

log in as normal.shut down normally

carefully put back in your battery.this should hopefully cycle it. restart your machine.if it fails to start up your battery is bad and need to be replaced.for extra confirmation go to your nearest pc repair shop and get them to test the voltage of the battery dock to make sure power is coming through to the battery

try pluging an external screen in then you now if its the screen is faulty or the laptop

have tryed trouble shooting it under windows.

Get some velcro strips and attach to the bottom of the laptop and the back of the screen. In retrospect I would probably go for wider strips than I have now. you could also make a metal pocket on the bottom, just slip the L-bracket in. Wish it can help you. May be your ram problem,but before change the ram do another one .Remove the battery, and unplug the A/C adapter and hold down the power button for 40 seconds.Now you will install all the accessories, and start your laptop.

If same as before ,disassemble and change the ram,But if there a single cruiser which blink ,think your ram is not the problem

Hi. Are the light indicators on the computer turns on when you press the power button. If none, then this could be a case socket issue. Case socket where you insert the power adapter to your computer is somewhat loosed. Socket has no physicla contact to the motherboard that is why computer is not getting the power. If you tried to open the system it might void the warranty. Best thing to do is to contact Lenovo tech support and check if your system is still on warranty for depot repair so that you will be able to send the system to the depot via Fedex free of cost.

the battery of your ideapad is already defective, try to change battery

It is located below the Hard Disk. There is a black sheet below the harddisk which is pasted. Remove the black sheet ( Dont worry You could re paste it back ) .

try uninstalling and reinstalling camera driver and easy capture. go to this website www.consumersupport.lenovo.com enter your serial # which is located at the back, on the white sticker. it usually starts at ABU.

call 1-877-453-6686 and have tech support create a depot service for you...that will take 9bus days to be fixed and that is for free...advised to use Fedex as a courrier...smile:D

connect a power cable to the slot and then try.
If it still fails than take out the battery and press the power button for approx. 15 sec . put the battery in and then try.

Some model ThinkPads have different network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver.

You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

Give this a whirl:
CD-Rom stops working. After checking device manager you find an exclamation mark on the drive. It doesn't mean the drive is dead. It could be an upperfilter or lowerfilter registry issue that is keeping you from accessing the cd drive.
