Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager

It means that either your boot files or your operating system is corrupt. You need a system repair disc or a operating system disk to fix the problem. One other problem could be that your hard drive has crashed and you lost everything, but I don't think that's your issue.

Ask acer for this problem, when you buy a laptop you need to make recovery discs, you prolly did not do that. So now it asks for recovery files on the dvd disc. If it has no dvd drive you should have made them on a usb drive. If acer cant help you with that, reinstall windows thats the only option. Partitions hidden can be removed but then there is no way to restore the pc to factorydefaults anymore. When you decide to reinstall windows, you will see 3 partitions, remove them all, then make 1 partition click next and it will make a little partition for system files. the rest is used for windows, untill u partition the rest, like a d: e: drive.

Try a different set of headphones, it sounds like the computer is not recognizing that the headphones are plugged in. Does the computer put sound out through the headphones as well?

Go to power settings in control panel of your windows . Change option for what happens when press power button .

About System Restore:
Windows does not allow you do to a restore from before it happened because it did not save any restore date from prior to (perhaps system restore is not enabled so be sure to double check this); therefore:

1. You're going to have to try to fix this isolated problem manually

2. RESTORE to factory settings: take all ur data off and restore to factory settings and then put ur data back thereafter.

Wifi is a just mode of connectivity, does your wifi access point or router has connection to internet ?
if yes there is configuration issue most like gateway ip address

try opening ie then clicking the file tab, look to see if there is a tick next to 'work offline' if there is then uncheck it.
