Always charge batteries before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period. Always charge sets of batteries (2 or 4) together. Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In some cases, alkaline batteries may have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended. Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in electronic devices. These batteries are only to be used in flash lights.

have you tried using other brand of batteries ?if you use rechargeable batteries, try them fully charged at another device and see if they last that long. if they last more than in the camera, then your camera might have an electric issue

Honestly, It's time for the repair shop, break out your credit card !!!! These model Kodaks are pure trouble, way too many consumer problems with them. Not dependable at all. No quality control, Made in China and not made very well. Sorry

You don't need any special software (or a USB cable, for that matter).The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Delete some pictures off you camera. It means that there is no more room on your memory.

Make sure to transfer them to a computer, before you delete them, as you wouldn't want to lose precious memories.

Sound like a malfunctioning CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor. Rare, but possible problem with your LCD screenviewer... in both cases (LCD or CCD) this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card. I suggest check this link for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD and next contact your Kodak service. Woody...why do you want to disassemble your camera? This is not recommended unless you have experience working with small parts, have the proper tools, and don't care if it doesn't work after you put it back together. There are videos on YouTube showing various repairs requiring disassembly of a camera you can watch and help you decide wether you want to attempt it yourself.

You can: try to restart the camera. and if that doesn't work:
plug the camera into your lap top and access its menu. You may have dropped it and split some mother board connections unknowingly, if so the screen probably cant be fixed
