I tried formating my memory card because it says it was protected but it wont let me its telling me its write protected?

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When I try to turn my flash on it says macro mode, What is this and how do I fix it?

Macro mode is for taking pictures of subjects very close to the camera. In this mode the flash is disabled.Without knowing the model of your Digital Concepts camera I can't tell you how to take it out of macro mode. If there's a button on the back marked with a flower icon, press it. Otherwise look in the menu.

When i connect the camera to my pc i cant copy my pictures to pc,why?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery and Picasa.

I have an older digital concepts camera and went

Look at the specifications page in the manual. If it mentions SD but not SDHC then most likely an SDHC card will not work. Without knowing the model of the camera I can give you neither yes nor no.

Of course, another way to find out would be to try it. You're not going to damage either the card or the camera by trying to format the card. It either works or it doesn't.

How do unprotect card how do i delete pictures

Remove the memory card from the camera, look along the one edge for a tiny switch, slide it towards the contacts to unlock the card, the switch that is in the furthest position from the contacts is in the lock position to prevent deletion of the photographs. Now! if the switch is already in the unlock position slide it back and forth to reset, if this fails replace the card.

My brother put my camera SD card in the wii and

These cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

If that isn't the problem, then perhaps the Wii has given the card an incompatible format. Try formatting the card. There is a function in the camera menus to do this. This will erase anything on the card, but it appears that you can't access it anyway.

I have a new memory card but when I take a picture

Check the small slide switch on the side of the card, it should be set in the "up" position, closest to the small gold contacts. This switch is the write protect.

My camera doesn't transfer pictures to my computer

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Hi,

Since you do not have the installation drivers for the camera, you can try to retrieve the images from the memory card of the camera.

You will have to use a memory card reader/writer for copying the files from the memory card to your computer. (You can use your computer's built-in memory card reader, if it has one, or you can purchase an external memory card reader/writer. See attached image)

52bb7d0.jpg

To do this, kindly remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port of the computer. Now, the memory card will be shown as a "Removable disk" in "My Computer". You can browse the images and copy the images to your computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.
