Coby MP-610 MP3 Player - Page 9 Questions & Answers
I can't get my computer to recognize the Coby
Does your Coby MP610 act normally, other than your computer won't recognize it? Have you tried plugging it in to a different USB port on the same computer, or into a different computer?
I use a different MP3 player myself, but I have revived it and my Sony-Ericsson cell phone by upgrading their firmware. Neither device was being recognized by the computer until I reflashed the firmware, and in both cases reflashing fixed them.
If you want to try reflashing your Copy MP610, I just posted the steps as a
Tip on the Fixya website.
I hope that helps.

How do you put a song on coby
If it came with a disk (driver ) you should run the driver into the computer first ..if not..just connect the player to the computer and will be seen in My computer folder as an removable memory device ...open that an in there you will find folders for each function...The easiest way ..is to copy and paste the MP3 files in the music folder...they will appear in the music folder of the player sonn after the copying..
if you have a manager for it ..use the manager ...Most of them are a 2 screen format where the player appears in the left and the computer in the right area...in this case...browse the music in the computer area...highlight the ones you want with th emouse..then choose transfer or click on the arrow pointing to the player's area...or just drag the files from side to side...
But the easiest way is to look for the device in the My computer folder and copy files into the folder named music..or in th eone where the other mp3 files already are..
