Have you activated the self check this set has that will indicate what error was picked up?

might need to change the bulb soon. Is it LED or a regular bulb?

Sounds like a issue or problem with the optical light engine in the set, it is of course the most expensive part.

you need to replace the lamp inside the DLP TV. they are about $400 or so depending on your are. i would google the best price and find the must trust worthy TV repair place or call best buy.

You need a vacuum cleaner and non-static brush..

Take a flashlight and at a angled view see if you can see the picture, if you can the lights burned out in the back

call mitsubisi and they will replace the part. they will pay for the part u have to pay for labor.

Try to check the lamp if damage, replace the lamp after you replace the lamp, don't forget to reset the lamp hour meter good day and best regards.

Try to Google the model number for a "manual" which is the owner manual that may have the answer to this issue. Also feel free to post a new question in the appropriate area of the this site so an expert familiar with this might have a direct answer--mine is really if all else fails carefully read the manual.

i have the same exact problem. My mitsubishi HD 1080 series suddenly stopped working. when i hit the on button, the on-light goes on for a second and then goes right off. any luck figuring this out?

If its the wd-73827 listed here it is the E2P board with its eproms that is bad--tiny board but big labor to get at.
