gave it to my son to fix all done - do not need help

temps will fluctuate. depending on door openings and defrost cycles.no abnormal noises heard on the ones ive worked on but appliances tend to be noisier then they were. if less than a year old have an authiorized servicer go out and look at.

Probably the solenoid is leaking(electronic water valve located in the back of the fridge that opens when ice maker calls for water) and the water freezes up inside the filling tube to the ice maker and when the solenoid opens water doesn't go through.

If it is the compressor - and if the unit is not so new - then it would be advisable to toss it..

It might be worth your wile to get the components tested though.. It might not be the compressor.. It could be a capacitor or something else that might not be to much money to fix..

Yes, you can splice it with wire nut or strip wire,twist together and tape with black electrical tape

Yes, find a licensed refrigeration technician. They will solder the hole and recharge with refrigerant. It should then be as good as new (or however old it is).

this is a thermoelectric model and runs on a peltier junction. It will always have the fan running. That is the only moving part.

Please tell me whats the type of refrigirator you have. If its a frost free then the drip pan , in most cases will be at the bottom of the refrigerator. If it is not accessible then you may need to empty your fridge and lean it against a support to access it. If you can specify the make and model I can offer you more specific advice.

Hello, when you purchased the fridge, did you transport it? Or was it delivered to your house. The reason I am asking is specifically to find out how it was transported. If you tilt a fridge 45 degrees or more, you are supposed to let it sit for 12-24 hours before use as the oil and freon in the system will get into the condenser lines and cause the compressor to prematurely malfunction. If you plugged it right in after transport then I would believe that is the cause. If it is store bought, I would ask for an exchange as your unit will never work properly.

Sorry but its just trash, I've been trying to fix mine for over a year now. I have been to countless web sites and payed lots of money for worthless advice. Everyone keeps telling me to check the compressor. HEY news flash it a thermo electric peltier cooler... NO COMPRESSOR. It makes a nice wine rack though...

We took the back bottom vent cover off. Clean that area of lint. We than followed the advise given to another posting of a refrigerator link. This has seemed to work for now, time will tell. However we were told most people with Haier refrigerators have problems. Thank you.

check the cold control, defrost timer and, proper air flow around unit

Try looking at the site below for parts, you need to double check your model#, because this
model# does not seem to exist.
The company that made your refridg, says the model # does not match anything.

Have a qualified person (electrician) check the wiring in the outlet to make sure there is no bad connections or burnt wires behind the outlet,I would start at the outlet where the appliance burned up.The only thing in the system to replace would be the wire itself ,bad breaker or fuse depending on your elecrical panel, the fuse would be obvious and the breaker would not be able to be reset,but it sounds like you have power to the outlet,bad connections cause heat,which could cause a fire,Please have this checked by an electrician to be safe and a peice of mind.

This could be a bad defrost timer. See if the compressor is working. If it isn`t or only works sometimes. The defrost timer could be bad. When the frig goes into the defrost cycle, turns off the compressor. It may failing to turn the compressor back on after the defrost cycle. Since it stopped defrosting at one point and started again, the defrost timer may be bad. Let me know if this was any help or if I can help any farther.

removed one of the two thermostats... the one that controls the temp in the lower refrigerated compartment. Now the water cooler functions correctly but the lower refrigerator is not cold enough to keep perishable food in it, but its better than it was.

Your question is: You have a mini fridge at school, a small Haier. Your fridge is getting power and the motor gets very hot but the fridge is not cooling, not even a little... any ideas???

May be low on freon or cloged expantion valve. You're going to need a certified tech to check and repair. Maybe it's time to look at the cost of repair verses replacement.
