You need to buy some watch maker tools to get that back off as it is friction fitted and is difficult to remove as try to lever it off . Here where we live we have a store that replaces watch batteries. I took mine in and he took the back off and took the old battery out and went to his battery stock and replaced it for me. He did all the work and only charged me three dollars. He has batteries for all makes.

How do I take out a link from my ESQ watchband?
you need to go to a jewelry place, or walmart, you need a special tool called linkage removal tool. it has one job and only one job and thats all it does removes pins and reinstalls pins
it is a very small press, the shaft of the press is about 1/64 inch
