try running a pipe cleaner through it

if the door gasket is not ripped you may try taking a hair dryer to the ares that dont seem to be touching the frame of the cooler. Hold the hair dryer about 6 inches away from the gasket and move it back and forth slowly taking care not to melt the gasket or any of the sourrounding plastic.

does the compressor run? let me know.

check to see if you can hear compressor turn on.if not then the relay may be bad.could also be a leak in the system.

Check the 2 fuses,one covered with black heat shrink, next see if internal fan is spinning, inside door, the 2 fans on the back should spin when first plugged in. also the 2 led's red and green should light up...if internal fan doesn't spin then check or replace, use batteries to get it to spin as a test...good luck,safety first...

1. You may need to add freon.
2. It may have a faulty thermostat.

do the repairs free, no charge to you.
You can go to the manufactures web site and find a server there or here on our web site.
But just make sure ou ask them if they do warranty work for Haier!

not to much experience with tecs, but a tec has a hot and cold side so turn the tec around and that should solve your problem and also some good thermal paste should be used on the hot side. good luck and let me know how you got on.

I had the same problem. My 18-month old Haier HVT 12A wine cooler stopped working. I unplugged the unit, opened the back, and saw the circuit board and the two fuses soldered to the circuit board. The top fuse was OK. The bottom fuse, labelled FUSE2 5A/250V on the circuit board, was blown.

I went to Radio Shack and purchased a spring-loaded push and twist fuse holder ($3) and a bag of fuses (another $3). I soldered the leads from the fuse holder to the top and bottom of the dead fuse 2, inserted a new fuse, plugged it in, and it has been working fine ever since (1 month). If the new fuse fails, it is easy to replace. Total cost $6.

If the unit has an internal fan it would be ok to use it as a built in.

1.Try to unplug the unit for 5 minutes and then restart it. To see if this resets the system.
2.If not then it is a freon leak or thermostat that bad!
If you one year warranty for parts and labor.
And if you bought it before 2006, then you have 5 years for the compressor.

You sound like you need a hands on tech to diagnose the problem.

Steve, Have checked around the web for parts..ie temp sensor, control board, which would cause your problem if defective, and there are no parts avalible. NUTS!

Ckecked around for the fan, parts for this unit are few and far between did locate some on ebay so head over there. Cuz there were quite a few but without seeing yours I couldn't match up what I was seeing.
