do you have the switch on the cable turned up so you can hear? you need to contact microsoft for the answer to a specifc question they have tech. support that has the knowledge to take care of any issues you might have.

I am confused by your question. It is unclear if you are talking about trying another headset or another x box 360 unit. You said "another sbox and it works fine......" Also are you taking about a wired or wireless headset? Please advise and I will get back to you.

You used the term "plug in my mic". I assume you mean the microsoft mic and head set. one of the best ways to check the headset and mic. is to go onto microsoft live and attempt to leave someonw a voice message. during the message you will get a message that says your mic is not working. also after you finish the voice message attempt to play if back if you do not hear anything then the problem is with your microsoft head set and attached mic. if new take if back to exchange for another one. there could possibly be something wrong with the port connection on you microsoft controller.

there should be a switch on the headphones or in the game settings that allow you to hear what is being said. I hope that this is the right thing that im suggesting and that its helpful.

the solution for this is in system settings on your 360... there are game audio options in there
1: select send audio to headset
2: select "confirm selection"
3: restart system
4: enjoy

Sorry dude, but it's really sounding like you got a bad headset on your hands. I'd test it on another controller, and if it still happens, then its definitely the headset. If so, just call Microsoft with your serial number and tell them what happened and they will replace it for FREE! The number for their customer support is (800) 469-9269. I've used it many times, and they've replaced 2 of my broken controllers! Good luck!

problem un-fixable you need to buy a new head set this is a problem with were the head set connects to the cord and its messed up in the head set sorry

Theres is a loose wire in your headset most likely. Try plugging it into another controller just to be sure its not the controller. If there is a loose wire there is not much you can do other than buy a new headset.

I have a headset with the same problem. It is due to a loose connection in the headset. However you may want to plug in another headset to the controller just to be sure its not the controller.

New headset. Sounds like a break in the wiring or internal connection. Not worth trying to repair.

It sounds like your headset is worn out. We are constantly replaceing them at my house. The little wires inside the cord where they go into the plug end tend to break and fail to give good/reliable conection.

You can try cleaning the plug end and checking that the receptical in the controler is free of debris, if that works great, if not buy a new headset.
