recommend getting a carbon monoxide indictor or having some one test it. with it being over 15 yrs old if checks good replace ignitor assy should fix it ok

Sunbinder...you will need to do a little troubleshooting. Turn it off again and wait 20 minutes then back on. If no noise or odor. Are you certain that the smell came from the blower. "Thru-out the house is a lot of smell. Listen closely on startup and running....any unusual sounds. ? Which fan are you talking about ? Furnace ? Vent like bath or kitchen ? If you are handy you can check the wiring connections to be sure they are secure and making good contact with tight wirenuts or screws etc.

The air intake may need to be adjusted or check the gas valve or if it is oil check your cad cell it may not be registering your flame and needs to be replaced that is normally pretty cheap. good luck

one wire to pin 1 other wire to pin 2 and capacitor other connection of capacitor goes to pin3 only if we are talking about run capacitor not for startcapacitor.

Remove the cover from the control box,there's a guide posted inside to trouble shoot the codes.

if it has a pilot, you can follow the pilot tube from the gas valve back to the burner assembly and find it. It may not have one and if this is the case, the air flow switch is supposed to close when the inducer fan comes on . If the flue is clogged, condensation in the bottom of inducer fan(would hear cracking). then after the draft safety switch is closed,the gas vavle will get 24 volts and allow the gas valve to open

this motor is a light duty motor and before it comes on, all of the safety switches...i.e. rollout switches, high limit switch must be closed before voltage will go to the inducer fan will be energized. You can check the fan with an ohm meter and see if you have any resistance. if you do, its good. the door switch on your furnace must also be closed before the furnace will be energized at all

Your best to get the instructions from the thermostat, there are so many combinations.

check for "stuff" inside the housing

Pressure swithc stuck closed? try undoing on of the wire going to the pressure switch and see if it stays on longer. Make sure you tested all limit switches there are usually at least 3 and up to 5

I would suggest replacing your induced draft motor. You can perform an amperage draw test to verify it's integrity first. Also check your high limit snap disks before spending money.:)

hacve oyu tried Fasco Industriess yet. Yoru blower shouuld had 4 wire on it and come on imediately with a call for heat. the second set of wires are basically a saafe3ty that closes when the unit is spinning they close telling the board or contrller that the fans running. Sound like a thermocouple, or flame sensor.
If it has flame sensor make sure you check micro amps to verify operation, because it might be the board that controls the sensor.
