Delta Table Saw stopped running
I have a table saw that the cord from the motor plugs into the the back of the on/off switch. I yours is configured like that, unplug the motor cord from the back of the switch and plug it in to the wall and see if the motor will run. If so replace the switch.

I have a delta 36-600
If you have a motor with the no.1313314 and the motor runs ,but the blade spindel does not turn try removing the backcover plate . With this removed you might find that the toothed gear belt has broken. If this ,in fact, is the problem the belt is a Bando syncro, link 100xl.
Hope this rectifies your problem as I am waiting for a new belt myself.

How to seperate motorhousing.tried prying
Have all the fasteners removed that hold the housing together. Support in a vise or on a sandbag and use a block of wood and a hand sledge to smarty tap on the pulley end of the shaft---should open up enough so you can finish prying apart
Powermatic 64a tablesaw- won't start. I think it
do this with the power off. take the leads off of the switch and connect them together. Then plug the saw back in. If it runs, the switch is bad. Any small toggle switch will work as a replacement

go to tool parts direct and search for your tool. there are exploded diagrams and parts lists.
Excessive vibration
Check the motor bearing for any linear play or loose motor mounts if the blade is good.
If there is any play in the motor shaft - the bearing is bad.
Thanks for using FixYA!!
Just finished assembling saw. factory
I've got one just like it...but its loaned out right now. If the blade is not touching, the 3/16 should not be an issue. I can't remember if I had to assemble mine. It sounds like a balance problem with the motor or the blade. Make sure the blade is installed properly, the washer under the bolt that holds the blade on is slotted on 2 sides, (has raised indentions), these must marry up to the fan mount. It is unlikely that the motor is out of balance. Did you have to install the blade?
Motor not working on Delta table saw: I just got a
Ok, the motor turns, but throws sparks on the brushes. This is normal to an extent for universal motors used on that type of equipment.
Try reassembling the saw, and put a blade on it, then try it. If it runs, try cutting a piece of scrap 1x, both crosscut & rip. If the motor can't hold the load, you may still have to replace it.

After getting my contractor table saw (base model 36-451) out of storage, I noticed my splitter and guard was missing (go figure). I really wanted the kickback protection while cutting narrow parts, so after long time searching, I found the Delta 34-868 drop-down splitter. It did say it would fit my saw, but the screws were the wrong size. Watch the video to see how I overcame it and how it performs. I love it...
And this is it
