I have fire and gas but will not start oil alert light on when crank
By fire I assume you mean spark at the plug. When turning the engine over with the key and the oil alert light comes on the spark is interrupted by grounding the system thus the engine cannot start.
First, look at the obvious things, check oil level if it is at the recommended level smell the dipstick if it has a strong smell of gas
change the oil and try to start it again. Be sure the plug is not soaked with raw fuel before you try the restart. I the problem persists you can disconnect the wire from the top of the low oil sensor.Try to start the gen. if it starts change the low oil sensor.
I hope this all makes sense to you , good luck with it.

I have an EM3500S
Make sure that the spark arrester screen on the exhaust isn't plugged with carbon. It takes just thirty seconds to pull it out. If it is clean, then the fuel filters are the next step. Hope that helps. Rod
Starter wont engage,battery is good
Remove the starter and bench test it with auto booster cables /put the black on the starter case and touch the stud on the rear of the starter. It should spin rapidly and the drive should advance if neither
happens the starter will need rebuilding or replacing. if the starter spins rapidly but the drive does not advance you may only need to replace the drive.
Voltage output is only 50 volts instead of 120 volts

Only runs on choke
it's sound like it need ajustement on carburator because choke only make the mixture air/gas more rich.
Or if it's very cold outside sometimes you have to wait long before out it in normal position. That do to the density of air ... if the adjusment have been made in 25C in summer and now is -15c outside the air is more dense so the motor need a mix more rich.
Gas in oil
First of all check to see you have a good spark, If it is running fine under load ignition should not be an issue. If un burnt fuel or over fueling causes the oil / gas to wash down the cylinder walls. I would also perform a leakdown test not a compression test, remove the dipstick and listen for air coming out the crankcase, that will give you an idea if you ahve a ring problem. Also remove the air filter and see if you have any blow back from the carb blowing out where the choke butterfly is. If it has less than 150 hours on it, the rings may also not be seated in, try the above then run it hard on load and check it again
Gas in the oil on my honda generator
Your needle/float is stuck, which will allow fuel to flow though the intake...past the piston..and into the crankcase. If has been awhile since you used it, most likely the gas has gummed up the insides of the carb. Otherwise, you may have had something get into the fuel bowl that is keeping the needle from closing. Best way to solve is to remove and clean the carb. Replace fuel filter if needed also.
Hope this helps
Carb leaking
check dealer for a carb kit, it will include new seals
