Velodyne HGS-10 Subwoofer Questions & Answers
VELODYNE HGS10 IS NOT WORKING. WHY ? I DO NOT
Hi,
You will need to remove the screws on the woofer and pull the woofer out
of the cabinet. Then use a multimeter, or simply a stereo amplifier to
connect to the woofer and see if it is shorted. If so, then a new woofer
will repair the sub woofer. If the woofer is fine, then the output stage
on the amplifier is gone and it is in need of repair.
If you want to get it repaired, then i would recommend locating a tech at the below link to have them perform testing / repair / replacement as necessary :

Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Blown speaker
I do not know the manufacture but there are a lot of replacement speakers. If I was able to see the speaker i could order a reasonable replacement. You may contact Pro Line Music 215-736-8055 or
[email protected]
Speaker makes a rather loud humming noise.
You can go buy a audioquest SUB-X subwoofer cable with a additional ground wire on it an connect the ground cable to the ground slot of the receiver an the other end to a screw on the sub or into one of the high output terminals on the woofer if it has them an this will take that humming sound right away but the cable is around $90
No sound is produced
No output could be an amplifier problem
You will need to contact Velodyne for service

Go to the Velodyne web site and check the service center locations.
They may have one in your area.
It sounds like the amp may be the problem. That may be all you need to send.

Crackling coming from Velodyne DD-10 subwoofer
One of 2 things is going on.
First, the servo mounted in the driver may be going bad or is picking up some noise.
Second, Something in the amp section is going bad, hard to pinpoint the exact problem.
you say that it plays, so I tend to think it is the driver mounted servo unit.
If it is within the warranty time, take the unit back to the retailer you purchased it from, if not contact Velodyne for repair.
