To Program Automatic Brew
1. Make sure clock is set for correct
time of day.
2. Press PROG button and digits will
flash.
3. Press H and M buttons until desired
brewing time is reached.
4. Press PROG button to confirm setting.
Digits will stop flashing and
return to set time of day.
5. Once brewing time has been set,
follow this procedure:
• Follow steps in "How to Make
Coffee."
• Push AUTO-ON-OFF button once
and "Auto" will be shown in display
indicating the brew cycle will begin
at the set time.
NOTE: If AUTO-ON-OFF is pushed
twice, the light will glow and brewing

In your unit there is thermal carafe .That keeps the coffee hot.If the carafe lid is not fitted properly then coffee will not get hot.If the lid is checked ok then the carafe is not heating thermally.It has to be replaced.

There is no hotplate in the stainless-carafe pots...only glass carafes need a heater.

Heat is transferred through the frame from the pump heater, as well as through the plastic base of the carafe.

This means of course, that a few hours after brewing, the base should be cool...and if it is obviously too warm more than 2 hours after brewing, then leave it un-plugged until it can be replaced.

Not too long ago, coffee pots were the #1 cause of house fires...and they're still in the Top 5 causes:

*On a personal note: I owned this same model in 2009, and loved it...but it lasted no more than 6 months. Looks good, great features, but poorly made. (I had it open 4 times before giving up on fixing it again.)

You may need to run a pot of white vinegar and water (50/50) through several times to flush out the line and heater. Make sure that the plate under the pot is getting very hot or it won't pump water from the reservoir. Hope this helps!

Try cleaning out the water system, it may need to be descaled, buy the descaler from the supermarket, follow instructions, make sure machine is well flushed out with clean water after cleaning operation.

Hang on. Wait until it has cooled and dried. Mine did this. About a week later, I tried it... Display was incredibly faint. But after some use, it "came back." Same as new. Everything is working.

Just... don't give up on it yet.

I finally got in touch with the Hamilton Beach (1-800-851-8900 between 8:30-4:00 EST) and found out that Model 45235G replacement carafe is available for order from them for $25.98 (S/H included) plus state sales tax.

I was able to fix this:1. Remove top cover2. Remove grate, one screw3. Dump water4. Clean water sensor probe (silver colour, bullet shape, approx 1/4" long), use a small flat screw driver with paper towel to remove any build up.5. Plug in and test until it works.if you get it to work again, that would be a good time to run the vinegar solution through.
