Replace the air filter and see. Let us know the result.
Your air filter might look like the one here.
The fogger spray might have damaged your current filter. First take it out and observe it.
If this is blocked, enough air won't go into the engine.
It seems enough air goes for idling, but to accelerate more air has to go in to the engine. Probably the air filter is blocked, so you cannot accelerate.

Take the carburetors apart and clean them. There is probably water caused white corrosion in the fuel needle assemblies. Once the needles are cleaned the fuel should pump and flow through the carburetors again.

thier is only one reason why you cannot get any water type vehicle to plane and this because you dont have the power so something is lacking on your engine and with a jet ski that has a impeller in a tube then anything from a tube problem to a damaged prop or even a lack of compression on the engine can cause this problem.Without a good look myself i cannot really comment and i dont think anyone can within reason but my advice would be to ask a local jet ski workshop to have a look and see what they come up .I really would need to see it give any sort of judgement

pull out the cat temp sensor and check to see if its bent. if so then its definently your catalist, even if not bent chances are still good it has failed. you need to be sure which light is coming on. does it look like a tube with squigly lines going up?
Waverrunner engine problem
Ditto problems with a 2007 VX Cruiser. I have two and only one is giving me problems so I don't think its the gas (since I buy for both at the same time). I see no fuel filter between the tank and the injectors. Wondering if I have an injector problem Have used a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to no avail. Additionally, I have had to replace spark plugs with relative frequency in both VX Cruisers.

For a motor to run the compression needs to be over 110 PSI. The normal compression will be between 130 PSI and 175 PSI . What is important is that both or all three cylinders be with in 5 to 10 PSI of each other. If one cylinder has much lower compression than another it is an indication that motor work is necessary to fix the imbalance. With older boats it is always a good idea to pull the motors and replace the crankshaft end seals. Also it is not a boat if it does not float. Inspect the hull for damage, cracks , holes, bashes/bruises, these will need to be repaired. Figure out how to look into the intake grate and inspect the impeller and mated surface for nicks damage. Seadoo's have a replaceable plastic ring around the impeller ($80) that is easily torn up by rocks and debris. If the gap between the impeller and the ring is wide you will lose significant thrust. Only your own sweat equity will make a boat needing a lot of work a good deal. Happy Riding.
Overheating YAMAHA XLT 1200 jet ski
you may have something clogged in a water passage but more than likley u have a bad sensor the sensor is located on the main exhuast if you go on the right side of the ski and look in the engine compartment it will be located at 9 oclock u will see it sticking out of the exhuast with one wire comming out after u run the ski and the buzzer goes off pull the seat and see if the engine is really hot if u can not touch it will be hot but it has to be very hot for the sensor to pick it up if u can touch the motor and exhuast it is a bad sensor

If your starter motor tests OK, but your motor does not turn over when your start is spinning, then you need to replace your starter bendix. In some cases the motor has to be removed to gain access to the bendix. On your Yamaha you may have enough room to remove the front cover of the motor and exchange the part with out having to pull the whole exhaust and motor assembly. If the bendix can not be removed because the flywheel is in the way, you will need to get a flywheel puller to get the flywheel out of the way. This is more easily done with an air gun. At this point you may want to pull the motor. On a boat this surprisingly not hard, just methodical and time consuming. Organize your nuts and bolts at each step of disassembly and the job is fairly easy. Considering the age of the machine, if you pull the motor out to work on it consider splitting the case and replacing the crank shaft seals. This will help preserve the motor for another 15 years of faithful service. The only good way to test your bendix is to hold it in your hands. The gear should slide easily on the shaft and the gear should spin one-way butnot the other. Your problem may be water inside the front of the motor so be prepared for the worst. Be sure to use a new case gasket and consider using Yamabond 4 on the case split and the engine cover to keep the water out.
