Overheating sensor on Yamaha Jetski keeps going off

I just had this problem. Put a heat sensint temperature gun on it - one of those laser temperature reading devices that measures temp within 1/10th of a degree, then scan the entire engine. Since those readers can tell you the temp of a spot that is the size of a dime or less, you will most likely find the area under the sensor is hot. Withing 60 seconds you will solve the problem. Best to compare you ski side by side to another so you can see what the norm is. Scan every square inch around the sensor. Pull the exaughst manifold and clean it up if possible (if not, but a new one) There are often times small holes in the casing that get plugged that spray water on the inside of the manifold below the sensor.

I hve a yamaha 1995 jetski an bogs down sumtimes on acceleratiotion.

Sounds like you might have a little water in your fuel system, check the fuel filter for water then clean carbs, dont forget to check the gas tank for anything sitting in the bottom.

Jet ski won't start

Open the battery box and jump the terminal posts. If the starter works you have a bad solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap the starter and the starter spins, you need new starter brushes. If you remove the starter and the coils are burnt, the armature is shorted, or the inside of the starter is wet, replace the starter.
