Only have two phase power power company refuses to

first thing, there is no 2 phase pwr. there are only single phase or three phase.you have 2 choices either you can convert mixer from 3phase to 1phase which will be expensive, or you can get a rotophase which will make 1phase pwr to 3phase pwr to run mixer, dont go with static phase inverter, only the rotophase inverter

Hobart HZ (h600?) Raising handle is acting up

You will need to confirm the model number. An H600 or L800 have a wheel to manually turn to raise and lower the bowl. The M802 and V1401 hav a belt driven bowl lift clutch, operated by a lever. When you push the lever up or down, you are engaging a small transmission between the motor and main housing. You would need to remove the top cover and see what's happenning. It may be there is something other than the proper spiral pin joining the lift lever to the clutch input shaft, giving alot of backlash and insufficient selector movement.

I have inherited a HOBART

not sure exactly here but it is possible to convert the motor from 3 phase to single phase by moving the wiring ,but iam not a commercial sparks so i wouldnt know exactly ,but certain electric motors have a wiring junction box on the motor ,in here if it has one are the connections ,so if it has a junction box on top with 3 sets of contacts then its possible to convert but it will need 2 capacitors around 50mfs and 475v to make it operate on single phase but it will not have the power it had on 3 phase .I know this because i needed an electric motor to convert a carpagini soft ice cream machine to electric from shaft drive of the engine ,and a 3kw 3 phase motor only became 2kw on single phase .In the end i found an old compressor motor in the junk yard that had been laying around for 30 yrs ,had it rewound and used that ,because it was so old it built like the proverbal tesla motor, high torque at low rpm to get this ice cream machine turning ,evan with the freezer compressor on compression stroke .Ask around for a good industrial sparks that lives local and get him to have look to advise ,not the one from the local newspaper .

Trying to find what the shaft assembly looks like

b1sam - You might try using the very easy "Hobart" smartparts webapp on the Hobart website. Cut and paste this into your browser Address line: http://catserv1.itwfeg.com/Hobart-Root/assynode.cfm From there you can select from 19 assemblies to review. Each assembly includes a parts list and an exploded view of the assembly. Based on your comment 'shaft assembly', I believe you want to look at either #12, Transmission Unit or #13, Planetary Unit.
Good Luck... I hope this is helpful.

HOBART HL 600 NOT WORKING.SPEED & TIMMER ALL

What'd ya do to that poor little workhorse? You need a Hobart service guy. The power is not getting from the switch to the motor. Could be a disconnected wire (on the simple side), could be the start capacitor. Did you turn the timer on? If you don't the mixer won't run! That is a 220V, don't stick your hands in there when it is plugged in.

Hobart Mixer bowl won't go up

If the worm screw is turning but not lifting the bowl, the bowl lift nut is stripped.
H600 part number is 24198.
To change it, you need to undo the screws down the right side yoke slide to release the yoke. You will need to lift the yoke to reach some of them. If you have some wood place it under the yoke and over the legs to protect the paint. On top of the yoke are two blots holding the keeper plate over the nut. One is the stop screw for bowl height. Don't loose this setting. remove the slide, edge the yoke forward a bit to free the worm. Run the old nut down the worm and off the bottom. When you run the new nut on, all the excess grease and metal shavings will start to build up. Clean as you go, or better still, brush with solvent or similar to clean the worm threads . relubricate, run the nut up above the yoke, reload the yoke and attach keeper plate, reload slide.
To adjust slide, snug screw near bottom keeping slide close to yoke, run yoke to top and tighten top screw just enough to hold slide in place, lower yoke to bottom, gently tap top of slide in a 1/16" and tighten top screw. Run yoke to top of slide. It should start to bind slightly in the last 2 inches of travel, which will stop the bowl from dropping in use. Tighten remaining screws.

Moving our mixer

Offer a free pizza night to your biggest & strongest friends and as they walk in the door tell them they can eat all they want but, they have to move your mixer in return. Most of your larger, well known rental places should have what we call in the business as roller skates or appliance moving casters. They are a tripod type heavy duty caster that is placed under each corner of the mixer and can either be strapped or bolted down. You could also call a local commercial kitchen equip service & install company like Ecolab GCS, they move & install equipment. 800-822-2303

Oil seal around the shaft probably dried up. Before replacing, try penetrating oil at seal, wait a day; if no better, replace seal.
