First, restart your phone. That's good to do every once in a while anyway. If that doesn't work, check the little switch on the left side above the volume controls if it's red it means it's on silent mode. Is that okay too? Then go to "Settings" and "Do Not Disturb" check that it is not set to "Manual" or that it is scheduled for times that you don't want to receive calls. If you don't use the "Do Not Disturb" function, then change "Allow Calls From" to "Everyone". You can also check the "Assistive Touch" settings under "Accessibility". Turn all of that off -- these are complex tools for handicapped people.
