Filter change
this was absolutely the problem with my Jura Capressa E-8 machine. I followed instructions after changing the filter. I opened tap-machine stated that it was filling system- I closed tap when instruction. The open tap remained on because no water was filling system. I took the frother tip off and opened tap. Water filled system (container under frother). I closed tap without the frother tip. Machine Ready.... (I heated water in microwave for three minutes) I placed the frother tip in there and used a wooden skewer to ensure frother was clear of debris... Worked like a charm!
How do I take my
Remove water container and empty beans. BE SURE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED.First, facing the unit, take out the three black torx screws from the bottom front. It makes removing the sides a little easier.
Next, open the top lids, beans and water, and find the black pan screws in the top front and remove.
Now, facing the rear of the maker, there are four screws disguised as buttons. Clamp on to the steel with a linesman pliers or you may need a side cutters. If using a side cutters, apply just enough pressure to grip and not cut. Remove screws counterclockwise.
The top cover should lift up at this time. The side panels slide back to unhook from bottom and must be manipulated to release from front face. The side panel nearest bean grinder seems to remove a little easier than the water side.
At this point, you may be able to clean bean grinder chute without further disassembly. If you need to service bean grinder, right side panel needs to be removed. Then remove the stainless torx screw holding on the bean cover to the grinding chamber. Adjust knob to full coarse setting. Next, find the two black torx screws inset in the bean container, probably have beans stuck above them. Remove bin. Do NOT remove the stainless torx screw on the top of grinder worm (on top of grinder blade)!
From the side of unit, make note of clear and black wires on bottom of grinder motor so that wires will be put back on same terminals (can't remember if it was a dc motor). Remove wires.
Make a mark on gear teeth of fine/coarse gear and gear ring of grinder to retain calibration. Now remove three stainless torx screws holding in grinder ***'y. Grinder ***'y should come out. Cleaning is easier at point.
If you are to go further into the disassembly of the grinder, care should be taken because there are small springs and ball bearings in the ring gear and cutter.

Cleaning instructions for jura E8
I am not sure if you are referring to the standard clean that the E8 requests. If that is the case the instruction are to press the rinse button for 5 seconds, until it asks you to remove the tray, then follow the instruction on the screen (they are normally, rinse, rinse, add tablet (should be Jura one) - add to powder shoot, then the process runs through.
If you are talking about de-scale then you should us the Jura de-scale tablets, but vinegar and biccarb can also do the trick.

I have an E8. The
It just needs to be cleaned, but not the clean cycles, you need to take it apart. The E8 actually comes apart pretty easily. The slightly oval 'rivet' looking things are actually just screws. They can be easily removed with a vise-grip or pliers. You will also have to remove some torx screws, so you will need to have a torx wrench on hand (actually 2 different sizes). The E8 error is simply coffee grounds clogging up the mechanism. Once you have the covers off, it is still a bit difficult to get at everything but it should be enough. Simply leaving it open and allowing it to dry out thouroughly seems to work in itself. I have actually just run a hairdryer in there to dry out the hard to reach grounds. However, I recommend plugging the unit in and watching it run through some rinse cycles. Use a flashlight to see, and then follow through with a dry cloth and get as much gound coffee out as possible. The other symptom which can easily be fixed when you have the machine apart is when water/coffee is pouring out above the intended release, i.e., not out of the spout. This happens just from being dirty and clogged and is super simple to fix and very satisfying! The front grey, plastic, sliding cover pops off and exposes all the residual coffee gunk that is giving you trouble. Just take it apart carefully and clean and your machine will be as good as new. Once you take it apart once, you will see it is not that difficult and you'll be happy:) We open it up about every 6-8 months now just to clean it. Trust me, when you see what builds up in there, you will want to also.Or you could send it away and spend $300-$500 for an upgrade. The worst part of that is being without your coffee machine for a few weeks.OF COURSE....be very careful when it is plugged in. Electricity kills :)I compare all of this in difficulty to......well, my wife can do it. So can my 10 yr old son. Probably if you can put together a piece of IKEA furniture and you know what a torx is, you can do this.

I cannot get the drawer to close completely on my
I have the same machine and this seems to happen if the grounds bin is pulled out before it goes through a full cycle. take both the grounds and water trays out. Try to fit the grounds bin around the "elevator", slide the grounds tray underneath that then the water tray as well. It should slide right in then the machine will complete the cycle and work just fine :)

Drawer will not go back in for Jura Capresso impressa
For Jura F7 Series, "Tray Missing, can't put it back in". With a small flashlight, look in to the cavity which the tray and grounds container reside in. Along the right side above a slot to the end, you'll see a white micro switch. with a "Tooth Pick" simply press the switch inward (to the right) and hold till the machine cycles the Levcer / Flap up and out of the way.! Put your tray and grounds container back in and begin brewing!! -dh

Not dripping coffee on one side
That hole might be blocked, Try removing the spout and checking for obstructions. It is possible that coffee oils have clogged that side of the spout.

Jura Capressa -Tray will not go in, looks like
I had the same issue. Had to send mine in for repair. Cost $235.00. Nothing I did would fix the issue. They said there was a major blockage. They cleaned it and sent it back. They also fixed my issue with water leaking from the frother.
