My back wheel is making

You may have a loose spoke or two. A rubber liner usually covers the spoke heads. If you do your own repairs, invest in a spoke tension gauge and the tool to adjust the spokes.

Just purchased the wheel set and within 200 miles

I have never heard of an offset valve hole. They sound like an expensive wheelset. I would go and try to look at another set of these wheels and see if they are all the same.

Once again, I myself have never heard of an offset valve hole. Hope you still have the receipt.

I have a new set

  • For many bikes the wheels would have washers that would go on the inside and outside of the forks. These tires, really nice tires by the way, are different. These are quick release and use no washers. The wheels go inside the fork, you spin the clamp until it begins to snug and then clamp it down tight. The red spare washers you are referring too are what holds the spokes in place.
  • Now if it is not spinning as fast as you would like then you can loosen the spokes a bit at the wheel and then remove the spokes from the center piece and then inspect and grease the bearings as you see fit. Pay attention to the way the spokes are in place and draw a diagram or take a picture before disassembling them.
  • If you just bought them I might bring it up to the seller and see if they can check it out on the arm (for free) since you just purchased them.

Regards, Tony

Just unboxed my Kysrium Elite wheelset. Is there

I assume you mean the plastic plugs stuck to the end of the wheels to protect them during shipping. Just pull and twist on them and they should come off

How to dissassemble and lube ree hub and bearings

loosen att the nuts on the axel, and then slide it to one side of the wheel, this will give you acess to each one at a time. just degrease them, blow them out with compressed air, then re-pack by hand.

some axels have special tools required to remove the nut on the inside. here is a picture showing this on a standardd front wheel axel,

I have 2006 mavic Ksyrium elite wheels having done

Could be the sealed bearings, just like a car, nothing gets better by itself if it is loose. With expensive wheels, take it to a shop unless you know what you are doing and have the proper tools. Why mess it up so that no one can fix it? Yes, I own 4 large bike stores and sell over 5000 bikes a year, anywhere from $325. to $12,000 models, so I do speak from experience. People are always amazed that the bike sometimes needs a tune up, Well, your car needs it too, but somehow a sewing machine or a bike shouldn't have to? Hummmm, interesting.
Take it to your dealer and let him advise you, this is not a do it yourselfer. Don't be surprised if you need a new chain, they stretch.

Cant put my mavic back together properly

It sounds like you lost the washer that sits between the bearing in the nose and the freehub bearing. If you lose that washer, when you re-tighten the axle, the two bearings will bind and prevent the freewheel from spinning easily.

Take your freehub off again and see if that washer is there. If it isn't, you'll have to get a new one and replace it. It's easy to lose that thing if you don't know it's there when you take the wheel apart, because it'll just fall out.

When I reassemble those wheels. I thread the drive-side axle through the freehub body, then place the washer over the axle on the inside of the bearing, then thread the axle through the nose.

Also note that if your freehub seemed loose, it probably needs to be replaced. The FTS-L freehub body used on the Ksyrium wheels uses a nylon bushing as the friction interface to the nose, and this bushing wears down over time even with good lubrication.

Noise from ksyrium back hub

The mavic hubs need to be disassembled and cleaned/lubed every few thousand miles. I suggest you take it into the local bike shop to have the work done unless you are a fairly good mechanic. It is rather simple to overhaul but it could be a headache if done incorrectly.

Hope this helps!

Squealing noise for no apparent reason rear wheel

Could be a bearing..
If there is a grease fitting - try pumping some grease into it..
Other than that - try some penetrating oil or white lithium grease where the bearing are..
