I am not sure what you mean about power point. If you are speaking about the power jack and the plug in the laptop then you can replace those relatively easy. Just order one. On the other hand if it is mounted to the board inside then it is not easy. Also I find that the power jack to the power unit tends to fail now more often than the plug.

It could depend on what program you have open, but most document software has near the top of its window, a row where it probably says "Ariel" and size and maybe "Western". That's the font name, size and language. You can also get a huge amount of new fonts online, free. Just Google "free fonts".

You problem is your memory. Try putting up the old memory and i'm sure that it will work again.

Possible Solution 1.

If you just add-up the new memory, try removing the old memory and just use the new memory because they might not have the same brand, speed, or something else.

Possible Solution 2.

If you are using only the new memory, you might want to try the old memory only and if it boots up again, you might have compatibility problem on your newly bought memory.

You will have to get in touch with toshiba about it, they can remove the password but you need to provide proof of ownership, the reset will include taking apart the whole machine.

Was the screen showing all OK before you updated the driver? If so did you try backing out (uinstalling) the graphics driver? You mentioned gtaking screen cover off ... did you completely remove the screen from the laptop, including the wide connector at the top and the smaller one at the bottom, and the small one to the backlight? These connectors might be seated wrong, and you'll have to reseat them, mostly the big one at the top. Best o'luck, Moorethemerrier!

If its not booting at all then you should understand that it may be because of any of these reasons :

• Faulty mother-board or any module of it. You will need to replair it by any technician & its a difficult & costly task.
• Another reason is due to damaged RAM and its most probable also. In that case you can just simply replace your RAM with a new one and its not so costly also.A better RAM will enhance your system's performance too.

It is due fault in one of the power modules of Mother-board. This may also cause damage to your system's RAM. So please repair it as soon as possible.

Yeah, I am sure that your computer is completely destroyed. The mobo is fried, along with your hd and every other electronic component is destroyed. It's a paper weight now.  

If you are running it on a battery, try connecting to power supply outlet. if nothing happens, it's time to unsrew the RAM compatment and resit them ok. Change the RAM if no image appears on the screen but not before testing with an external monitor ok. Good luck

sdhc cards are not backwards compatible with sd card slots. sd cards however are backwards compatible with sdhc card slots. newer card slots and readers are sdhc and sd ready but i'm afraid your only option is to buy a usb sdhc card reader. normally the 52 in 1 readers and ones like that work well and really don't cost a lot on ebay. the only other thing you could try is to put the sdhc card in an sdhc device (such as a camera) and link it up to the laptop that way.
