I had the same exact problem.
Seems something was wrong or stuck in the tubes.
Finally, when I kept trying to clean it out, the tube ripped off and I found a clog of dust in it.
So, try getting replacement tubes & it'll work for sure!

If unit beater has stopped working it is either the motor, the power connection to beater or the belt that powers the roller. Which is it?
See if you can download the manual from the mfg or google for it.
Get the belt to turn in Progressive Whisper belt
Make sure the roller is not jamed with carpet threds , remove bottom cover and clean dust balls and obstructions out see if ti resolves problem make sure it's unplugged when checking and install complete before applying power!
Kenmore canister power head not working?
Without more info, I would investigate the drive belt, make sure the beater bar is free to spin (no hair or carpet fibers twisted onto the moving parts), and then check that the power is getting to the motor of the power head. Most often it is hair/fibers that collect around the ends of the beater bar. This causes the belt to stall, heat up and stretch due to the drive motor shaft spinning on one spot because the belt can't move. After removing twisted hair/fibers, you probably only need to replace the belt.

A lot of times the reset button is tripping because there is a problem. The problem could be with the brush roller in this case. A lot of times I see this unit for repair and the end of the brush is so compacted with hair and debris that it has also started to melt. This will also "fool" the reset and trip off. If you are near a service depot try there, or try sears parts if you need to have the brush roller replaced.
Bypassing the reset button is not advisable on any machine.
The nozzle housing has cracked at one end of the
