The model number on all Kenmore vacuum cleaners starts with 116 and is then followed by the important numbers.

You need to have hose fixed or replaced. The wiring can be off in handle.

Most likely you have a pinched wire. Take it to your local vac shop for repair.

116 is only part of the model number. On most model the answer is no but not knowing your model I can't say for sure

It could be a switch, a loose wire or a pcb problem, or a bad brushroll motor.

There are many things it could be, if you have an electric tester make sure you're getting proper voltage to the power nozzle motor. The power nozzle motor could be the cause, or any of the connections, the wires in the hose or the switch or a loose wire somewhere between where power comes from the canister unit all the way to the power nozzle motor. The easiest way to try to narrow down the problem is to wiggle wires, connections, switches, etc. trying to find the short that makes the motor go on and off.
