The red light blinks under the coffee bean?

The red light on the front of this machine is simply to let you know that there is some issue with the machine: it could be that the grounds receptacle is full, the machine is out of water, or it doesn't have beans. Please check all three areas. It may be that the receptacle, even if empty, may not be pushed all of the way in. Even if the water reservoir is filled, it may not be properly seated on the valve. If the beans appear to fill the bin, it may be that they are not reaching the grinder for some reason and need to be pushed under the tray which shields the grinder. Finally, once you've check these issues, you will want to open the front door of the machine as if to get to the inside where the grinder is housed and then close the cover door. This will then cause the machine to reset. Note, you don't need to do anything other than just open the front cover from the left side as it swings on a hinge on the right and then close the cover again. You can also turn the machine off and on again to cause the machine to reset. This will take care of your issue of the blinking light, assuming you've corrected one of the three things above that originally caused the issue.

I own a saeco Vienna

Hi. Sounds like a blocked or jammed brew unit. Remove brew unit and clean. To properly do this, you need to disassemble the brew unit. Canbe quite hard to do. The brew units are usually held together with plastic tabs, and may have to remove some screws to allow these tabs to release units assembly. Dazza REPAIRER

Brew group taken apart and small glass ball fell

HI This is the instructions for cleaning the brew head. If you follow these instructions you will get everything back in the proper way and you can make coffee again. Remove the brew unit. Holding the handle, on the top left side is the brew head, there is an outlet pipe that exits the front side towards the door (looks like a long "L" pipe). 2 screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold ("L" pipe assembly). Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (be careful, there is an O-ring, spring and at the end a black rubber disk or crystal ball). Do this over a towel to prevent loosing small pieces, mainly the crystal ball. Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember, thumbscrew), DON'T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers. Once the screen is out, look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. A big one in the center and a small one to the side. With the brew unit upside down over the towel, insert a paperclip into the small hole and force anything out the other side. I have gotten worms almost a 1" long from this passage. The paper clip has to go from this side to prevent damage to the seat on the other side. Clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the crystal ball in first. Then the spring small end first on the crystal ball. Now the O-ring over the spring, then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the machine. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head. That should do it.

My machine won't brew. It

Hi hfish100,

I believe your Saeco Coffee Maker needs a brew head cleaning. It can get clogged with coffee residue and oils. Or it could be a bent injector valve or gate valve. Try the following:

- Remove the brew unit. Hold the handle, now the left top side is the "brew head". There will be an outlet pipe that exits the front side, towards the door (L-Shaped). Remove the 2 screws holding it to the top, while holding the L-Shaped pipe. Once they are removed, lift the l brew unit assembly off (be wary, there is an O-ring, spring and rubber seal/disk at the end) Then remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (with your finger not a key)
Under the screen is 2 holes (1 big one in the center, and a small one to the side)

- Put the brew unit upside down over a towel, insert a toothpick or a paperclip into the small hole and force anything out the other side. Use the toothpick/paperclip from this side to prevent damage to the seat on the other side.

- Clean the unit and then reassemble. Put the brew unit on towel right side up, now drop the crystal ball in first. Then the spring small on the crystal ball, followed by the O-Ring over the spring, then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the machine. Re-fit your screws, and tighten them.

- Re-Install screen, and tighten with your fingers (Remember! Your fingers). The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head.

If done correctly this should solve your problem.

Kind Regards

JEDEMEYER1

I have the Vienna Superautomatica.

Hi
Blinki9ng red light usually something is not in place. The water tank empty. grinder empty or cloged, the brew unit not seated, dredge drawer not in place, or the usual cluprit is the drip tray. There can be something behind the drip tray that is keeping it from seating ( it has to lock into the 2 holes in the bottom of the base) Try to push the drip tray in and down and see if it will work.

It fits on top of the grinder and under the bean hopper. There are 4 ridges on the grinder that it fits on and seals the grinder to the bean hopper. Just remove the bean hopper and put the rubber piece on the top of the grinder.

My vienna does not make coffee or is very slow

Hi
That is usually a pluged or restricted brew head.
That usually means that you are getting a restriction in the brew head from oils and fine coffee grounds.
Remove the brew unit. Holding the handle, on the top left side is the brew head, there is an outlet pipe that exits the front side towards the door (looks like a long "L" pipe). 2 screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold ("L" pipe assembly). Do this over a towel to prevent loosing small pieces, mainly the crystal ball.

Need a replacement wrench for

Hi
You can use an Allen wrench to remove the thumbscrew. It will go in the end of the thumbscrew but don't use it to install the thumbscrew. Its a thumbscrew, that means finger tight. More thumbscrews are ruined by people using the key to tighten, pulling the nut out of the end and then water fills the dredge drawer and they wonder why!

Saeco Vienna coffee when the machine starts the coffee dispensing

Is it leaking only when brewing coffee ?

If not I would check the seal under the water tank (Part #NM05.006)

If so, I would check the following:

1- The water input port on the back of the brew unit (looks like a smoke pipe) might be clogged

2- The o-ring of the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler.

The o-rings of the water tube coming out of the boiler need to be changed. Rubber O-ring tend to expand after extended exposure to heat.

I am Trying to Service a Vienna Saeco Coffee

-2 Phillips screws on the front (left and right under the fascia)
-1 torx in the back of the machine, under the water tank
-Hot water/steam knob that has to be removed: There is a clip that can be pressed with a tiny screwdriver (with the front door opened) which will let you pull the knob out.

Once this is all removed, you need to push with a screwdriver in a small whole from under the machine, beside the power cord. Pushing hard from one hand and pulling the whole thing up with the other should do it.

On my saeco vienna machine

Any water leaks following the pumping sound ?

If there is no leaks, I would try to get some hot water from the wand.

If there is still no water coming out, I would:

1-Decalcify thoroughly

2-Open the machine and take the inside out and verify the status of the water pipes going from the water tank to the boiler than to the wand and the brew unit ... to make sure there is no restriction.

3-Replace water pump
