Hi I have a saeco

The ground unit is basically just 2 sharply dented wheels in a case: one fixed and the interior one mobile, on the shaft of an motor that spins it.
From what you describe it appear that the mobile wheel has either slipped out of the shaft or the shaft has snapped and now the motor of the grinder spins freely. You will need to open the unit, access the grinder unit and check the situation: if it's slipped just push the interior wheel back on the shaft, if the shaft has snapped the motor will have to be replaced - more dismantling will have to be done to take it out.
This is a quite complicated job that will involve the almost complete dismantling of the machine - it's an entire day job that will require a lot of tools. It's not something to be done by someone who has never done something like that before. You will have to take it to a pro.

I turn my machine on

Your description is not very clear.
When you have the masage ventilate all you have to do is to turn the water knob and draw out from steam wand one full cup of hot water. After this if the machine have not any other problems the ventilate should go out and the machine will be ready to be used.
If after the above the masage ventilate is on display then the machine have a lot of scale in the water system and need a very intensive descaling. So in any case perfome this descale.
Also if you need any further assistance please check your model since magic delux does not have any display.

Hi
Open the door on the right. The brew unit is the thing with the handle that has the "press" on it. You need to push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. There is an outlet spout on the opposite side of where you are pushing. It goes into an intake port that needs to be lubed, (use a food grade lubricant) so the outlet spout will slide in without pushing back. That should take care of the missing brew unit.

Turn the hot water nozzle on for 45 seconds and then check. The water is getting clogged. Try to run out hot water through it and see ifthe clog is getting cleared. But if that is not helping, then I think"water turbine" also called flow meter is broken and has to bereplaced. Check your water flow meter. Check the turbine is not scaled orclogged. If the draining is not helping then yes it's a turbineissue. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

If you are 100% sure that the Brew unit is installed properly then you may have a broken micro switch.

You would need to remove the top cover of the machine to replace the switch or you would have to bring it to a service center.

Call the number at the top of this website to order the switch if you determine it is the issue.

Hi
If the grinder is spinning your grind set is too fine. Push the lever below the bean hopper to the back. It can go to a coarser setting anytime but the grinder has to be spinning to make it finer. They may not have set the grinder correctly. Have them walk you through the process. It also takes about 2 to 3 times before the grinder fills to work.

Hi
Check the grinds. If they are coarse you have a separated grinder. It usually means it needs to be replaced I have seen them on ebay, but if you can't find them, I have some. If they are not coarse, you have to make 3 coffees before the grind will take affect. After you change the grind you have to make 3 drinks before you will see a change. If you don't have a puck in your dredge drawer, you don't have enough coffee going into the brew unit. Push the lever behind the door in the center top back to the +, then forward 1 click, and try that. There should be a full puck going into the dredge drawer that has the consistency of coarse sugar. If it very coarse its the grinder.

The central unit LED blinks green and the machine

Hi
The LED should be blinking red not green on a magic delux. The only green light is the boiler light for warming up or ready. If its the brew unit light it means its missing.

Most often the problem is that the rubber rings are too old. The best is to open the machine, put the lid back on top, add the water container, add water. Push the espresso button, and afterwards (when the espresso is finished) open quickly the lid and check the origin of the water. I have a magic de luxe and it turned out that when i replaced the boiler, one of the high pressure tubes were damaged. Other frequently occuring problems are related to old rubber rings. the cost virtually nothing, and are easy to replace!

Grinder

set the grinder to its courses setting.

there are 2 screws.

a rubber fitting is under the plastic compartment.

before moving anything. mark where that setting is. Then turn it until either the blue lines or the red lines are next to eachother.

you'll know you did it right because the top burr with come off easily.

Clean it out with a vac carefully.

slap it back on, turn back to the market setting and replace adjuster arm (be careful, it can break easily).

Should be good to go at that point.

I usually recommend it being brought in for service due to the grinder being extrodinarily pissy and you can accidentally knock it out of its shaft.

Hi
make troubleshooting to identify problems

troubleshooting instructions

Coffee Will Not Brew
1
Ensure the coffeemaker is plugged in and you have not blown a household fuse. Replace the fuse and reset the circuit breaker in your household fuse box if necessary.
2
Check the water reservoir to ensure it is filled.
3
Open the coffee bean container and make sure the coffee beans are ground completely.
4
Ensure that the Saeco coffeemaker is set to "Hot Water" and not "Steam."
5
Look at the descaling indicator light to determine if the coffeemaker is in the process of descaling the machine. Let the descaling cycle complete, turn the machine "Off" and then "On" to start the brewing cycle.
Coffee is Too Weak
1
Open the coffee bean container by lifting the lid.
2
Add more coffee beans, close the lid and press "Grind" on the control panel.
3
Turn the knob inside the coffee bean container to the right. This will increase the amount of grounds used to brew coffee in 9 gram increments.
4
Press "Brew" on the control panel.
Coffee Tastes Bad
1
Remove lime deposits from the machine. In a large container, mix the Saeco descaler with water, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lime deposits can make the coffee taste bad. Open the lid of the coffeemaker's water tank and pour in the descaler and water mix.
2
Plug the coffeemaker in and press the "On" button on the control panel. Place a large container on the drip pan. Press "Descale" for at least 5 seconds and aim the steam nozzle at the drip pan.
3
Turn the hot water button counterclockwise to start the descaling cycle. Leave the large container in place until the descaler has emptied from the coffeemaker. Turn the hot water knob clockwise to "Off."
