Fill water tank

First, I'm not a Saeco technician. But I've worked on similar Saeco machines. - Water not getting to machine or not sensing that the water tank is already filled. * There usually some type of float near to middle of the water tank. It's usually white or colored plastic. This 'float' needs to move freely up-down to 'sense' the filled tank. clean the tank and shake it -note the movement of this float. It will need further cleaning if it's stuck (or you will have to replace tank if it's crudded up). * Re-install tank and fill with filtered water. Turn machine off, count to 15 then turn on again. This usually turns on pump to add water to inner tank. If this does not happen then there is a CPU problem. If it does hums for 5-10 seconds then goes off but no heating then the pump may have an air bubble in line. Try the turn off and on method several times (up to 5) to get the water flowing. If it's still not working then there is a clog in the pump and will need service and/or replacement. * Did you change water source? Since this is a table top machine in which you fill the water tank. Try to use filtered (bottled ok) water. Do Not use Distilled or 100% pure water as this type of water will eat out the metals from your machine! Some places use a water softener as it tends to be better for the machine long term (years). * Still got problems? Check with vendor or MFR for service or replacement. Most machines of this type do not have serviceable parts or adjustments. Aloha, ukeboy57

Why my saeco royal not grinding?

hi, pls try to describe what are the symptoms. Grinder might be dead, or the doser switch may say that there's no need for grinding because it feels there is enough ground coffee. I would clean the grinder completely, clean the doser from all ground coffee and give it a try and let me know. Hope that helps. M.

Machine goes through initial grinding but then makes a clunking sound no water comes out

You have the best designed fully automatic machine for home or office. The clunking sound can be due to brew drive gear damage. One or more gear teeth may be chipped or broken and slipping. To fix the machine the brew drive gears have to be replaced. The set of two gears can be ordered from the two links included below. For regular maintenance of all espresso machines, 1- Download the document "Espresso DOs & DON'Ts" using the page link included below and review the information as suggested. There are a number of illustrated technical guides, on the page "Espresso Maintenance". I have added the link below. The sieve could be at fault. But I'd also check all of the high pressure lines going into and out of the brew unit. It sounds like one of the lines is leaking. You can replace them yourself or have a repair shop do it. Why does my coffee machine not start?

Does the control panel display come on? Or is it like there is no power at all? There is a power switch on the bottom of the left side (when facing the front of the machine). Try switching it to the other position and try again.

Cappuccinatore and steam does not work

Does water come out of the wand when you press the hot water button (top left)? Try ventilating and descaling the machine. More details about each can be easily found by googling. Hdo i remove the grinder on asaeco royal

How to remove the grinder in a Saeco Royal Professional fully automatic cappuccino machine. Of course make sure the machine is fully off and unplugged before servicing it. Taking a lot of pictures as you disassemble it will make it easier to reassemble it when you are done. 1. Remove the water tank, driptray, dregdrawer, cappuccinatore., and the bean hopper. There are two Phillips head screws in the bean hopper; you put some tissue in the hole to prevent those from falling into the machine when they come out. Once the hopper is off, remove the grind adjustment lever. It can be pried off, but try to be gentle. I broke it slightly when I did this, though it still works fine. Also, make a mark on the lever and grinder before removing it, so you can put it back together easily at the end. 2. Remove the screws holding the upper housing to the base. There are two under the water tank, one in the compartment under the bean hopper, one in the front corner above where the dregdrawer goes, and one behind the front panel under the steamer wand. They are all Phillips head screws except for the two under the water tank which are T-10 (Torx, or star) screws. 3. Remove the upper housing. This can be a little tricky, because you have to get the steam wand and cappuccinatore plug through their corresponding holes. Just start by gently prying up the front edge of the housing, under the steam wand and the control panel. Pull the housing back, bending it over the cappuccinatore plug, up over the rest of the unit, making sure the steam wand goes through smoothly. Then you'll be able to lift it off the rest of the way. Note that the hose from the water tank will still be attached to the housing, but there should be enough slack to set it out of the way. 4. At this point you can see the grinder. Remove the rubber gasket that sits between the grinder and hopper, and the felt noise dampener. The grinder is held in place by three rubber rivets. They can be tricky to dislodge, but you just have to pull firmly on the grinder to take them out one by one. You can also grab the bottom of the rivet with needle nosed pliers if you need to. To reinsert the rivets, you can push the tip through the corresponding hole and pull on the end with pliers. Try not to move the grind adjustment ring without marking where it was originally, or you may end up throwing off the grind calibration. 5. You should be able to unplug the wires from the grinder. You may need to cut the zip tie holding the wires in place. 6. Follow these steps backward to reassemble the unit once the grinder is replaced. Good luck!

Why is it stuck with "warming up" message displayed?

If everything else works, I.e the heat element is ok. Check if the machine is getting warm. it' s most probably the boiler, that has to be descaled. the heat element cannot reach the required temperature to dispense coffee. in case the machine is not getting warm, the element has to be changed. let me know if it works after de scaling. you might have to go through the cycle a couple of times and use an adequate solution, NOT VINEGAR!

My Saeco Royal Professional won't grind: "blocked grinder" message

Hello, I had exactly the same problem. In my case, it seems that the grinder was not ejecting the grounds into the doser with enough force to move the pressure plate and trigger the microswitch. My grinder motor might be wearing out, but I decided to try increasing the sensitivity of the microswitch before I spent so much. I replaced the microswitch, but that didn't solve the problem. Instead, I added a spacer (~2mm, but you'll have to play with it to adjust the pressure for your switch) between the doser pressure plate lever arm and the microswitch. That has been working very well for the last month. Very occasionally I get the same message again, but if I tell it to brew again the second grinding succeeds. I hope this helps! I got the replacement microswitch at http://www.saecoparts.com/
