Why is water seeping out of my coffee machine

Look for any small cracks in the unit's plastic housing. Place some paper toweling under the unit to try to pinpoint where the water is leaking out. Remember that water always flows down, not up, so the crack could be at the back of the unit but if it is on even a slight tilt the water will seep forward and build up until a drop forms and falls..Any small cracks can be repaired with a silicone cement.

Ventilate!

Can you get water out of the machine by pushing the hot water button?

This is how you would remove the ventilate message in the first place, but if no water comes out then the machines electro-valve is not opening and you will not be able to remove the ventilate message. You will have to get the machine serviced.

I would also give descaling the machine a try before servicing the machine.
