KEY PAD INTERMITTENT
Dampness or moisture that gets into the membrane will cause this as well as it just wearing out over time, and the best fix is to replace the pad since the ability to work properly will be temporary at best.

There is no power
A microwave can be dead for many reasons. It
may be the fuse, which is usually located behind the grille or on the
floor of the oven behind the control panel or between the door switches. If
the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout (TCO)
/ thermal fuse on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body
of the oven.If it goes dead for a while during or after cooking
then comes back on, the magnetron is probably overheating and causing
the magnetron thermostat to open. Then when it cools, it closes the circuit and allows power through again. When
checking TCOs or thermostats, if it has a hood fan thermostat, that should read
open, as opposed to the others, which should read closed. If the cavity thermostat needs to be checked or replaced you'll need to pull the oven from the wall.If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor. If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer. If
it goes dead or blows the breaker (or GFI) when you plug it in or open or close
the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch
mount. If it's intermittent or random, it may be a bad
connection, usually on the control board or a loose fuse holder, or
even an intermittent fuse.If you or someone you know
decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and
disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.There
should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting & testing. You can usually find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number at the Sears parts site. We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
Kenmore over the range microwave tripping breaker
You've found the proper location if you're seeking for the fuse for your Kenmore microwave. The fuse is often found in the microwave's or behind the control panel. You must take off the microwave's exterior cover in order to reach it.
After you've identified the fuse, you may see if it has blown. If so, you'll have to swap it out for a new one. It might be preferable to seek professional advice if you are unsure on how to proceed.

When trying to use convection with Kenmore hood combination it stars then stops and the display says F-5. What does that mean
If you are getting an F-5 error code on your Kenmore hood combination, it typically indicates a problem with the temperature sensor. This error code may occur when you are trying to use the convection feature, as you have described.
To troubleshoot this issue, try the following steps:
Turn off the power to the unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Wait a few minutes, then plug the unit back in and turn on the power.
Try using the convection feature again and see if the error code reappears.
If the error code persists, you may need to replace the temperature sensor. You can consult the user manual for your Kenmore hood combination or contact Kenmore customer service for assistance with this.
If the unit is still under warranty, it's recommended to contact Kenmore customer service for repair or replacement options.

My Kenmore stove timer started going off every 45 seconds
It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with your Kenmore stove's timer function. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Check the timer settings to make sure that the correct time and alarm settings have been entered.
Try resetting the timer by turning it off and back on again, or unplugging the stove and waiting a few minutes before plugging it back in.
Make sure that there are no buttons or knobs stuck on the stove, as this could cause the timer to activate repeatedly.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.

Kenmore microwave model 401.85053010 won't heat or cook anything.
Unfortunately, this is not something that can be diagnosed from a distance, unless you had access to a "Kill-a-Watt" meter or equivalent. It could be caused by a bad door switch, a bad relay on the main board, a bad magnetron, or a bad HV diode. (The HV capacitor is probably OK, because if it were bad [shorted], it would blow fuses.)

Kenmore Microwave model Fan running and light on when door closed.
This is normal. Kenmore microwaves will stay running with fan and light on for a short time after food is cooked. The reason is to air out the microwave after cooking. Things like pop corn, Bacon etc. have strong smells after cooking. The ventilation helps to remove odors.

Kenmore making vibration and blowing fuse. Began repair
It is 'Magnetron'.
You shouldn't be in there Kate, there is heart stopping 120,000 volts, a poisonous heavy metal core in the magnetron and radiation that can blind you in 6 seconds. Qualified service personnel only on microwave ovens. Depending on age it is probably beyond ecomomic repair. If you have had it longer than 6 years, it is. It sounds like one of your new parts was the wrong part. If you bought them off eBay, they will be out of failed machines that have been scrapped, cleaned and resold. If you have some attraction to this oven, take it in for service. The technicians have the experience and the test equipment.
