Door wont open

I believe your best answer can be found here (ensuring again the power is disconnected before beginning):http://www.fixya.com/support/t116203-dishwasher_door_latchI would suggest finding the full model number, comparing to the list at this Sears site, and viewing the "door and latch" manual for your specific model number. This will provide insight on how the door is assembled, and can provide details on what part(s) you might need to order.Hope this helps.

Bottom rack cleans fine, top rack doesn't clean at

yes, the spray arm can be removed and cleaned out.

Also, clean the 3rd (very top spray area) located attached to the top of the dishwasher. You want to make sure this small (1 inch size) piece can spin freely, so water can rinse the upper rack items.

I use PartsSelect.com. Input your model number, they have parts diagrams next to the parts description. There is a button below the parts diagram in the part listing to see all the parts shown in the diagram. Multiple diagrams for the various parts of the dishwasher.

Dishwasher won't drain

There could be something blocking the drain. Perhaps some food or something else. You might need someone to take it apart to clean it out if you aren't able to do it yourself. I think it is under the dishwasher behind the lower panel.

The water to the spin

Are you talking about the top spin arm? My sleeve is a harder plastic that would not bend easily. You might need a new part.

Cancel light is on.

Have you let the "cancel" cycle run to its complettion. Or try hitting it a second time. The pump should run to remove any water and then it should shut off.

I removed the lower spray

My lower spray is connected by a large plastic screw type piece. Do you have that part? The arm itself just sits loosely on the base and the "screw" is needed to secure it. The arm itself does not screw on. If you lost that part, I don't know how you would secure the arm.

Kitchenaid kud101tj "cancel drain" light and

Don't know if this will help, but when I had problems with my control panel (lights blinked and nothing worked) I fixed it by disconnecting the power completly from the dishwasher at the fuse box. Leave it off 10 or 15 minutes and then repower. That reset mine and it worked again...has happened several times and each time I could fix it by cutting the power. If that doesn't work, you may need a new control panel.

My kitchenaid kudv24 will not

Hi, if the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check the drain line and pump..

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.
Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Can I replace the white exterior door panel with

Yes you can replace the panels. There are 3 panels. The problem is only 2 of the 3 panels are availble. The large panel can be found here:

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=4508020 or here:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kitchenaid-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-KUDS25SHBS1/0593/0130000/P9080030/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=
The panel below that panel is no longer available so you would end up with a large stainless panel and a white panel below that.

I checked several sources for the panels. All 4 of the sources that I checked state the panel (item 5 of above link) is not available.

Also the bottom toe panel is black (Item 8 above link) on the stainless model. You could sand and paint your existing one (enamel) black.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

The handle opener on my my Kitchenaid whisperquiet

The idea is to lift up on the part of the latch that is fixed to the body of the washer. The door part of the latch slides under this peice. If the handle mechanism is broken, it will not depres the door part of the latch to allow it to open. therefore, we have to pickup the latch part fixed to the body.

To get the door open, take a clothes hanger and cut off a 12" peice with a pair of pliers. Bend the last 1.25" at 90 degress angle. Make another bend about 4 " from that to make another 90 degree angle. This will give you leverage. Insert the first bent end between the top of the door and the counter. Rotate it so that the end is facing down. Feel for a metal plate. When you hit the plate with the probe, turn your hanger so that it lifts up the plate and simultaneously pull on the door handle. The door should come open.

Now you have to get the handle repaired, but at least you know how to open the door.
