what makes you think it was in a demo mode ?? was it a floor demo model ? as if it was there might be a few things you needed to reconnect before you use it in your home , one that comes to mind is the float level switch , this is usually in front right corner and demo models usually have a foam spacer under there edge , also its possible a demo model could have a special control board in them , requiring you to replace it with a standard model b4 it would work properly

The upper rack has a captive washer with a lug that stops the top drawer from falling out. Use a torch, identify the captive washer that is connected to the rear wheel on each side if the drawer, remove these and the draw will come out

Turn off the braker then , I would open the front lower electrical box most times on the right hand side near the floor , you have to remove the small lower cover first, open the small electrical box, you should see a black wire and a white wire and also a green , once you have expose the two wires and they aren't touching anything , turn on the power again , now take a tester set it to voilts , take the two wires from the tester and put one on the black and one on the white and see if you have power there, should be around 120 voiltsBefore you pull this apart dose the door handel feel funny ? there are safty switches on the door handel thats why i was asking and this will also make the unit go dead , let me know what you find out

The most probable thing wrong that made your dishwasher just quit mid cycle and wont now do anything is going to be a blown fuse on the control board. It's a fairly common problem with that brand,so much so i have written a tip about how to check it. Here is the link to that tip,
