My sanivite 3 has a washer connected to the bottom

A washing machine discharges water water at a very high velocity and high capacity. This is far more waste water than the pump was designed to handle. The washer discharge must be connected to what's called an "indirect waste", that is, it must discharge into a laundry tub or sump, so that the excess can be stored until it can be taken by the pump. The specific code that governs this is in chapter 27 of the International Residential Code. Also in the manufacturers instructions, they allow the discharge from a washing machine ,through an indirect waste. [sic] "The Sanivite is a drain pump that is ideally suitable for use in a basement apartment or anywhere in the house where additional fixtures are most wanted. It will pump waste water away from a variety of sources such as: a kitchen sink, laundry sink, washing machine ***(indirect connection)***, dishwasher, bar sink, etc." This pump will never be able to handle the discharge directly and you need to provide a receptor to accommodate a washing machine. Is there any possibility of adding a laundry tub adjacent the washer and Sanivite pump?

Does any one know where I might be able to buy some new (old stock perhaps) traditional 1938/39 bathroom washbasin tap valves or complete taps that are imperial threads? They are needed for an Art Deco

To the best of my knowledge many traditional designs of taps are still available and while the internal threads might or might not be Imperial, the connection thread invariably is. I have in the past changed the interior parts of taps that are badly worn and even cannibalising old taps of similar size and design I found some would fit and others wouldn't. Each manufacturer would choose the thread pitch and form that suited them best from the great many Imperial threads available so while the internals of the taps of a single manufacturer would interchange, the interchangeability with other brands would be accidental. There is usually a salvage yard in most districts as well as scrapyards and recyclers - lots of exploring to do.

The Pump just stops working. 'We open top and push rotor and couple of revolutions and it will start again when we plug it back in.

Motor bearings are damaged, they now have a "tight spot" which you might be able to feel if you rotate the shaft by hand OR motor windings are damaged and overheating causing the motor to stop.

My sanibest Pro is not working. Does Nothing! no grinding, munching, flushing.. Any ideas? Does it have a reset button?

There is no reset button on that model. Suggest putting a plug on the cable and trying another source of power first. Or could be a problem with the cutting disc being jammed or the condenser has blown. If more that 5yrs old then replace the whole pump.

The pump runs for 1 or 2 sec and stops then a min or so later runs for a sec or 2 and stop again

If the water in the pan is slow to drain then possibly a restriction in the pan outlet or the membrane is slow to react to the water pressure, lastly if it is old and noisy the motor windings are damaged so in this case could be time for a new pump.
