Intermatic T104 24h 208-277v Mechanical Time Switch - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Where I can buy the motor of a 24 hour dial time
I had an old Intermatic TN111 indoor timer with the red & green trippers laying around. I just drilled out the plastic plugs holding it together and popped out the timer motor. The timer motor is mechanically identical to the Malibu pool/lighting timer whose timer motor died.. As a bonus you get a spare load switch in case that ever fails. This works for 125VAC timers but not for 230VAC though if you have access to split phase you can run the motor off of 120 VAC and the load off of the 240 VAC
I replaced my pool clock ( Intermatic)twice. still
I have the same problem with the t104 clock. wired exactly to the diagram. this is the second one, the first one i thought it was a defective timer so i replaced it with another t104 and also wired it exactly to the diagram and still nothing. am i not doing something right???? line 1 to 1, line 2 to 3.....
How to wire intermatic t104 for 120v line and load
it won't work, it would if you had the guts from a 120 volt timer to put in, thats just not practical cuz you would have to get the right timer and at that time you might as well just replace the one your trying to rig up
Clock does not work but load does
really need more info. but assuming that ur turn it by hand to turn it on and off, it sounds as tho u have no power on the clock or the clock is bad. is it new? is it old and the clock quit, or new and the clock doesn't work? in this case may not have power to clock.
How to tell differance between 110 volts and 220 volts
u have to use a volt meter to find out for sure. if ur asking how to check it, u find the leads coming into it and take ur volt meter leads and if u have colored wires coming into it like black, red, white, green or bare which is ground. u check the volts by checking the volts 1st on ea of the colors. u should have 120 volts from ea color to ground, then u check volts between the colors. put ur leads to the red, black at the same time and u should have 240 volts. the colors may be black, white, and bare or ground. in this case treat the blk, and white as black and red.
Intermatic T104 timer manual switch stuck
To remove timer from enclosure, there is thumb spring located top inside box. Push up on spring, hold onto timer dial, tip outward and lift upward.Disconnect power before removing mechanism.Override lever should snap back and forth crisply, and turn pump ON-OFF.If override lever is not turning pump ON-OFF, then check that you have 240Volts across terminals 1 and 3. Check that timer dial is rotating and keeping good time. Then move override lever to ON position and check if you have 240Volt across terminals 2 and 4. These terminals are Hot when pump is supposed to be ON.Reset circuit breaker, may be tripped off on one leg, listen for crackling sound of loose breaker, use nose to smell for burning, tighten wires on breaker, move wires to another same-size circuit breaker.Copy following links for troubleshoot resources:http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-Intermatic-timer.htmlhttp://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.htmlhttp://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-circuit-breaker.htmlIf timer is not functioning, then buy clock motor and trippers.OR. You can buy the T104M mechanism-only, and snap into existing enclosure.OR. It may be cheaper: Buy the whole T104 and snap out of new enclosure and install mechanism into existing enclosure. Moved pointer intermatic T104
The time pointer is supposed to be stationary. On T104 timer the pointer is stationary pointed downward at 6:00 position. So you can move it so it is pointed straight down and add a bit of super glue where pointer meets stem.Copy following link for instructions how to set T104 timer:http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-operate-and-set-T104-timer.pdf If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

Ti04 clock rotates and new trippers but doesn't turn on
You probably have T104 timer.Clock rotates so power to timer motor is good. This means 240Volt breaker is good.Use override lever and see if Load (light, fan, motor) turns on and off. If override does not turn Load on-off, then bypass timer and see if load works. Move wires from terminal 2 to terminal 1, and terminals 4 to terminal 3.Did you order correct trippers?Copy following links for Intermatic troubleshooting and Intermatic parts list.http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-Intermatic-timers.htmlhttp://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-trippers-and-parts.html#T100 If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at
