American Standard 5357.016.222 Heritage Elongated Toilet Seat Linen - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Air switch randomly comes on by itself and I have to leave the breaker off
This could be caused by a faulty relay or switch in the control panel. It is best to have a qualified technician inspect the control panel and replace any faulty components. If the issue persists after replacing the faulty components, then it could be a wiring issue and a qualified electrician should be consulted.

My American standard champion 4 sings after I flush it, while it I still filling. Then stops when filled.
Hey, One thing is that maybe there might be some loose plastic shavings in the fill line. From the Factory? or maybe was inside the water line going to the toilet when you connected the line to toilet. Shut off the water and get some towels and something to catch the water and disconnect it from the toilet and use bowl or what ever to catch the water and slowly turn it on and see if anything comes out. Maybe if it is in the line inside the toilet it might fall out by lightly tapping on the fill line inside the toilet to help it fall out. Just a thought when you said it "Sings" that sounds like trash inside the line going to the filler tube and bowl, hey try it who knows it might work. Okay

Were is the flame detector located on a american standard hot water tank.
Hey. Not sure what model you have, but I assume you're trying to light the pilot. Remove the metal outer and inner (if applicable) cover(s) located at the bottom below the control box. with a flashlight, you should be able to locate the "thermocoupler" -that's a very thin metal tube about the thickness of cooked spaghetti. It should come from the controller and bend around a little until it ends in mid-air. That's where the pilot flame will first appear when you light it, and it should be always on, or else you will need to follow the instructions on the outside of the heater to do so. BTW: while the pilot should always be lit, the main flame (which heats the water) will only "fire" like a gas cooking range when the water in the tank starts to get cold - so don't expect to see any big flames any time you look. When you re-light the pilot, though, and turn the control dial to "hot", then you will both see and hear the flame fire up. Follow those lighting instructions VERY carefully, or the pilot won't stay lit (like, if it says to hold a button for 60 seconds, make sure you don't cheat). Good luck, hope I answered your question.
