you had to reset it by pressing all the buttons on the same time.

All you need is to open watch case back, remove the rubber seal and unclip the contact. Take the battery out (memorize polarity: + and -) and buy the same one. Fit new battery in the right way back in watch, fit the contact, place back rubber seal and refit watch case back. Reset the watch. Done.

Under my tips and tricks is the link to download a manual for this watch. I would recommend that as I am sure there are other things you will want to set.

The buttons on the right (as your facing the watch) scroll the menus up and down, the center button on the face chooses the selection.

Use the right side buttons to go through the menu of choices, then use the center button to choose your choice, use the right side button to scroll through the new menu or to set values into the numbers. Keep repeating this process until all your settings are where you want them.

The only way to find out is to take it to your local jeweler/watch maker and see if they have the tools to do it.

Response to Wasilij: The belt is sealed, so it can be used while swimming. It's not meant to be opened. They replace the whole thing, instead of replacing the battery. So sorry, not going to work.

Hi cobbie,

It is a good idea to get a watch repair guy to change it for you. They have the tools and experience to do a good job and they seldom charge more than $15-20 to do it for you. The watch casing generally needs to be cleaned, and often the gasket replaced to maintain water tightness.

If you live in the US, you can get a mail order service done here on the watch for $19 that also includes watertight testing, and the job done by experts that do them everyday. If you are outside the US, get back to me and I will find someone close to you.

Make sure the sound is turned on the unit. Press and hold the lower left button for a few seconds and you should see a little Sirus like pic on your watch. If you have that and no sound then you have a problem. Maybe try taking the battery out and reinstalling after a few minutes. If nothing works then your choice would be to send the watch to get repaired or live with it. The heart rate does flash if you are under or over your target rates. Good luck
