Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.

Push button on my jacuzzi won't start it despite power going to unit
The air button on your tub may be bad and not sending enough air to the air switch located on the bath pump. The way to check this is to remove the bath pump and see if you can turn the bath pump on by taking a large straw and blowing into the air switch on the bath pump to see if you can get the bath pump to turn on.If the bath pump comes on then you know you have a bad air button. If you cannot get the bath pump to turn on then remove the air switch and plug the two wires going to the air switch together and then plugging the pump into a power outlet you know has power. If the bath pump comes on then you know you need a new air switch in the motor. If the motor does not come on then you need a new bath pump.Rod

WON'T TURN OFF PULLED AIR
So as I understand it, you have pushed the air button and the button stays down and does not return to the top of the button body.
if it is permanently pressed down and will not come up on its own even after leaving it sit for some days then you will need to replace the complete air button.
At that point you can reach inside the body of the button and grab it with whatever you can to pull it up so you can replace the complete button.
The air button body has thread running the complete length of it and has a nut that threads onto the body from the underneath to hold it in place.
You must get to the underside of the tub to unthread the nut off the body in order to remove it.
Once removed you can then reverse the operation and install a new air button.

Our cetra jacuzzi tub start
if you can remove the center bezel and trim ring, get some emery cloth from the plumbing store and run it on the inside of the button body where the bezel goes up/down and then do the same thing to the outside of the bezel. You probably have calcium deposits on it making it a little too tight for the button bezel to go up and down.

Jacuzzi had not worked for about 2 years. I took
sounds like the air switch didn't latch. you may need a new air switch in the motor to make it work again.
the way to check this is to remove the pump. plug it into an outlet and take a straw and blow into the air switch on the motor. if you can get it to come on then the air button is bad on the top of the bathtub. if it will not come on/off then the air switch is bad on the motor.

What causes my jacuzzi hot tub to turn itself on.
sounds like you have an electronic system that operates the tub. Many times those get hit with a voltage spike and it burns up a relay on the circuit board and THAT is what make them come on at weird times.
You will most likely need a new control for your tub.

I need to pump out
you need to get a pump that will push water about 10 feet. sump pump is probably what I would use. Sears usually carries pumps like that as well as Steve Regan Company.
