sounds like there may be some blockage in pipes. try to run a long snake through both drains or run all fixtures in bathroom and try plunging vigorously in tub and shower while running water. if nothing still, it may be possible that your underground plumbing is back graded or incorrect fittings and plumbing installation.

If it stopped working suddenly check the GFCI to see if it tripped. If you think it may be a sediment problem go to a pool and spa store, they have cleaners that can help. In most cases salts won't cause it to stop working.

The most likely component failure is the battery. It should last several years when properly maintained and desulphated.

When properly installed the pump only runs when theres a failure with the primary pump. So it should last indefinitely.

There are lot of tools used by professionals for plumbing. I don't find any reason to buy all of them.

So, at first decide which tools you need or for which specific tasks. If you can figure out which tools you really need then check your local tools shop or you can buy tools from online also.

Buying tools didn't solve your plumbing problem, you have to have required skill to use those tools and knowing basic plumbing.

There is a hex-nut configuration at back of the handle of your sprayer where the hose enters the back of the sprayer handle. You can use a wrench to unthread the back cap and hose and remove them. You will have full access to all of the goodies inside of the sprayer handle at that point. pull the parts out and clean them with a rag that has some tooth to it (such as terry-cloth) and wipe off the WD-40 and liquid wrench (they will adversely affect your "O-rings") clean off the o rings and plunger and re-assemble the sprayer. You may have to go to Home Depot or Lowes to get replacement "O-rings" to stop the leakage.
