Powermatic 1140 B,f 14 " Drill Press Op/parts Manual Questions & Answers
Need a chuck key for model 1140b,f powermatic
There are only a few sizes of chuck key. Easiest thing to do is first find a drill bit that fits in the hole where the key goes to determine the size of the pin on the end of the key. (Use the back end of the drill bit.) Then take any other chuck key you have and see how closely it fits or doesn't fit - just as a reference. Take the reference chuck key and the drill bit with you to Sears or any place that sells a good assortment of tools. You will probably be able to determine the correct size key from what they have available very easily.
Good luck,

Changing speeds on Powermatic Drill Press
Katie,Refer to the picture below. Loosen the locknuts (the one on the right side of the drill is shown, there is another on the left side). Use the lever to move the motor toward you, thereby loosening the drive belt(s). Open the top cover to expose the belt(s) and sheaves (most people incorrectly call them pulleys). You might have one belt and two sheaves, or you have two belts and three sheaves. The drill will go fastest when the belt is on the biggest motor sheave and the smallest sheave on the drill spindle. Of course the opposite sizes apply for the slowest speeds. Make sure the belt uses a pair of sheaves that are at the same height as each other (the belt has to stay in one plane). Now tighten the belt(s) by pushing the lever pretty hard away from you, and while holding it with your right hand tighten the left side locknut with your left hand. Now tighten the right locknut. Close the cover. ----- OK, so now you know how to CHANGE speeds, what about drilling glass? This can be tricky. You must use a pretty slow speed (maybe the slowest, depending on the size of hole you are drilling. And you must keep the spot you are drilling flooded with water to keep the glass cool. And you must apply pretty gentle pressure. And the use of a drill bit intended for drilling glass helps a lot. And don't try the first hole in something expensive! Practice on something disposable first. Take your time. AND WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!Good luck!
Return spring not working
The return spring is usually up on the side, and is just like a big watch spring, wound up in there, take off the cover, it is probably broken, or maybe just slipped out of it's keeper. If it is broken on the end, you won't be able to bend it with out a torch, get the end red hot and put it in a vise and whack it with a hammer. If it is broken in the middle, you can weld it with an arc rod and a torch, bust off the flux, weld it together and let it air cool. Or you can find a new one.

hope this helps , if it does please vote :)

How to remove oven door Maytag mgr5775qds
To remove the oven door on a Maytag MGR5775QDS range, you can follow these general steps:
- Open the oven door completely to access the hinges.
- Locate the hinge locks on both sides of the door. These are usually small levers or clips.
- Use a flathead screwdriver or your fingers to flip the hinge locks toward the oven cavity, releasing them from their locked position.
- With the hinge locks released, close the oven door halfway.
- Lift the oven door up and off the hinges by pulling it toward you and lifting it away from the oven.
- Place the oven door on a flat surface, such as a table or countertop, to work on it or store it.
Remember to exercise caution when handling the oven door, as it may be heavy and awkward to maneuver. If you're unsure or uncomfortable with removing the oven door yourself, it's always a good idea to consult the appliance's manual or contact a professional for assistance.
