just means the update didnt work,restart in safe mode and delete updates or reset to an earlier configuration by restarting and pressing f8 continuosly while it reboots
Either your Windows software has become corrupt or your harddrive is failing. Use your Windows installation disk to "repair" the software. If that doesn't sole the problem, reinstall Windows. If that doesn't solve the problem, your harddrive is shot and needs to be replaced.
When you lose video, either reload the driver or check for a broken video cable. A third possibility is your backlight bulb has failed. With laptop on, use a flashlight near the screen to see if you can see any dark images on the screen.
First...pick at the keys to unstick the stuck one.
You can always connect your harddrive to another computer as a slave and transfer all of your files to the computer.

Have you just changed ur battery? If not i would suggest replacing the battery, in the mintime switch off the pc remove from power supply remove the battery. Connect to power again and try switching on without the battery. If it works fine, switch off and put back the battery and try switching on again if it happens again u need to find another battery. Try a weird fix that some people have experienced success with. Remove the battery pack, then hold the power on button down for 10-20 seconds (any extended period of time will not harm your laptop, this appears to only discharge voltage from the system) Reinstall the battery and then turn the laptop back on by holding the power button down for 10-20 seconds. May take 3-4 attempts to get it to boot up. There may be a problem with recently installed programs, the HDD may be faulty or an update hasn't been applied properly due to a compatibility issue. Hopefully the battery removal method will work for you.

I must guess 1st that you have no recovery disks. so only have 1 recourse. the magic recovery key using the recovery parititon. the F11 key, power on and hammer F1 from dead cold turned off, this the F11 key may only work in w8.1 or w10. I think (reading the book is not very clear here) but it implies w7 had Norton Image on it. it means day one you image your PC, then today recover. so if you didnt do that step in the manual then there is no recovery image now. there you go.
