Is there a reset code for error 13

There is a four hour reset, however that will not fix your problem. You need a new burner assembly.

Good Afternoon, I purchased a Rheem

I just looked up the specs. It is only permitted up to 6560 ft above sea level and for that an altitude chip is required to be purchased.

Code c4-13

Before calling service technician, open following link for Rheem troubleshoot resources including error codes, Rheem chat, and possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html

Error codes are considered start-point for troubleshooting.
Error code C4 13 is bad oxygen sensor, inadequate incoming air supply, or bad venting. Also bad PC board, or internal wiring, or temperature set too high, damaged burner parts.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Error-code-13.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Bosch_Ventilating_tight_houses.pdf

Tankless require yearly maintenance to combustion chamber and burner parts.
Prescribed maintenance can correct some of the issues in error code 13.

1) You posted under Rheem tankless
Open following link for useful troubleshooting resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html

2) Unit can have internal part failure for example PC board, and result is that you get no error code.
This would explain why re-setting the tankless works.

3) Unit could also have loose wire or loose connection.
Or maybe the heat exchanger needs to be de-limed.
Or incoming gas, or incoming air, or vent problem.
Or water pressure, or water flow.

4) Without an error code, the problem can be household plumbing problem.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/No-Error-Code.pdf

5) Tankless repair is a large and developing field, and technicians train for years and still see new stuff each day.
Do-it-yourself tankless troubleshooting and repair might take equal amount of work.
First thing you want to do is read the manual several times.
Pay special attention to the word 'maintenance' and make sure you are properly maintaining water heater on yearly basis.
Next thing is to find qualified technician in your area, and put that person's number in your rolodex wallet. When technician comes over, ask that person for do-it-yourself tips and tricks.

6) Add a comment with your experience so other with same-similar problem can benefit.

7) Take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.

Every 2 to 5 days,

Hi,
If you are getting the C7 code you should also be getting another code after that..like a 76 or a 79...
If you are not getting anything else then the best possibility is that your control board is bad...

There have been quite a few of these boards going bad and that would be my first guess as to your problem...
Some have been replaced by the factory for free...I would call them and see if you can get a new board from them...
At least call their tech. support first and let them walk you through some tests so that they can verify that the board is bad...they often will send you a new board on the spot then.
I have also found that the customer can often get further with the company then the contractor can..

Please comment back if you have any further questions..

Our Rheem EcoSense Tankless electric

Hi,
The problem is in the second stage heating element....or you have too light of wiring and breaker...
Did it just start to do this or is this a new install??

If it is new then the breaker may be bad or is too light...

If this just started to happen on a existing install then an element is bad...

please comment back with more details...

EcoSense by 4.2 GPM Tankless Water Heater LP Gas: I need to extend the wiring on the remote so it ca...

Always shut down anything electrical low voltage or other BEFORE attempting anything. The two wires attached to the remote can be extended with longer wire and wire nuts. If you look at your owners manual it will tell you that you can hook up additional controllers (up to four I believe) and have one in each bath, at the kitchen and at the unit. Pressing the priority button at whatever remote you are at will make that remote control new temps to unit and display at all remotes.Don't get crazy with too many wire nuts!
