Pc was downloading updates, now restarts continually and no keyboard

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer RAM modules make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease might be getting to hot

another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time putting to much strain on the CPU central processing unit

hope this helps you

Every time i starts my pc it shows cmos setting

Hello prad3010:
First be sure the replacement battery is a known good one. I have had bad new batteries before.
After starting up go into your bios and reset to default values and accept the changes.
When it reboots cmos error should go away.
Also make sure that the jumper on the pins to clear the cmos settings is in the run position.
Her is the site for your manual:

Ill simplify my problem i cant turn my computer on

look on the board some were on it, it should say a brand name like "INTEL desktop board p546s8". there will be a name followed by a series of numbers and letters enter these in to a search engine, your looking for  a section called front panel connectors or like that, that will show you a diagram of where and how to connect all the lights and buttons on the front of your computer case.

PC Chips M756LMRT+ PII/III/Celeron Slot1/Skt370

I have the same problem! The PW SW, and Reset SW can go either way round. The LED leads do need to be correctly placed. If there has been any doubt in the past I have tried each way until one way works - this has never caused me any problems. One tip is that usually the marking on the connectors all face the same way.

I have a pcchips p21g v1 motherboard, but it wont

Is that one of the PCChips boards that has a jumper to enable/disable writing to the BIOS (Basic Input Output System? If it has a hard drive in it, disconnect or remove the hard drive, and then reset the BIOS, by removing the BIOS battery for 5 minutes, then put the (good?) battery back in, and boot it up without any hard drive. I have seen such behavior before, due to malware such as TDL4, and also "BadBios!" Those malware systems can OVERWRITE any unprotected BIOS with modified code!
