sounds like you need to replace the valve seats. if you shut the water off and remove the handles you will see the valves. you have to remove them and under that you should see these little black things. they come out but have springs under them so be careful. the black things are the valve seats. i would start by replacing them

Turn the water off at the shut under the sink and open both faucets to drain line. Remove faucet handle and stem and look inside. There's probably something jamming the stem from turning. Remove that and reassemble.

The faucet was leaking and nut wouldn't come off

There are several tools you can use to remove stripped nuts and bolts, here are pics of two different types. You might also want to try using a good set of chanel lock pipe wrench or vice grips

This is a common problem, and often times it is impossible to remove the nut without damaging/destroying the faucet.

You may also want to invest in a basin wrench. It will make removal and installetion MUCH easier.

This is a basin wrench.

You are wise to go with Moen. They make a great product, offer lifetime warranties and have great customer service.

2-handle faucet handles both rotate "on" counter=clockwise

Here's the solution from Delta:
On a two-handle kitchen or lavatory faucet, if the handles rotate in the wrong direction, simply rotate the right stem stop assembly 180 degrees. This will change the rotation of the handle to the other direction.

Leaking Delta kitchen faucet dual handle

Pry the hot/cold button off the top of the handle. Make sure the water is turned off below the sink.

Under the button should be screws. Remove the screws. Pry the handle off. Remove the stems by lifting then out.

That should give you access to the washers you need to change.

Kitchen faucet won't turn all the way off

You need to replace the washer on the stem. It's a Delta so it's possible that you have the type where the washer is actually in the very bottom of the manifold instead of on the stem.

How to remove stuck cap for delta single handle faucet

Take a rag and put over nut then tap all-around nut. Then use your hand to try and unscrew. A strap wrench is the best tool for taking these off. I have been to so many of these where the homeowners have used channel locks or pipe wrenches and scarred up nut or broken off copper tubes. They seem amazed when i tap it a few times and remove it with my hands. Channel locks and pipe wrenches actually cause the nut to bind when using this much force. Make sure you loosen the plastic retainer on top of the nut first. For more details about single faucet repair

Low pressure and flow on hot water side of single handle faucet

It could be one of two problems, one simple, one serious.
  • Easy fix
  1. Turn off hot water angle stop under sink to faucet.
  2. Remove supply line from hot angle stop.
  3. Place end of supply line in a small bucket to catch some water.
  4. Turn on cold water for a couple of seconds and backflush debris from faucet.
  5. Reconnect supply line.
  6. Turn on angle stop and test
  • Complex fix
If you have steel pipes you may be experiencing reduced flow due to corrosion in your pipes. Reduced hot water pressure in the kitchen faucet is usually the first sign since this is the faucet that is most used in the home.

Repiping is a job for a professional. Another symptom you may need a repipe is orange colored or rusty water.

Delta 400-DST Single Handle Kitchen Faucet Spigot Drips

I've installed quite a few of these from the big box stores that leak. There are 2 rubber pieces inside the valve body that act as seats. The seats are what turn the water on and off as you move the handle. These rubbers need to be replaced. You can buy a delta repair kit, which will contain these parts. Where the faucet is new, it might be easier to bring it back
