Sephie, You have a very common problem. The short answer is you need to replace the Cartridge, which is Moen part # 1225.I have seen that so many times with that particular faucet... I'm not a big fan of Moen in general-- but that aside.... That Faucet is one of their "economy" lines and has a long history of giving trouble. I would suggest to you that the best solution would be to replace the faucet with a nice quality Delta, or equivelant-- Delta style and those that use the same parts such as many Peerless and others ARE VERY SIMPLE TO SERVICE, and the PARTS ARE PRETTY CHEAP AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE at Lowe's or Home Depot. Moen cartridges are expensive and can be hard to find the exact match as there are many models that look almost identical. perhaps you have a water supply issue on hot side. Have you tried shutting of hot water angle stop valve under sink and removing supply line and opening angle stop valve to see if you have hot water?

If you have isolation valves before and after your equipment, close the valve on the discharge side of the pump. Leave the suction side valve open. loosen the union a couple of turns, on the discharge side of the pump, or one of the unions at the heater assembly, it doesn't matter which of the three. You will get water, then the HISS of Air! Let all the air come out, then water again, for about 3-5 seconds, then tighten. Open the closed valve. Start system. It should take off. Good luck.
